And how did Martin bowl? I'm sure the usual 'drop the old man' knives were out again seeing he didn't take a big of wickets - yet took no more or less than anyone else.
He was fairly pedestrian for long stretches, but he deserved at least one more wicket, and he certainly bowled a lot better than he did in the west indies.

The ball is almost good length and hits about four inches from the top of the stumps and Sachin, well after he is beaten and the stumps are broken sits down as if to play a ball that went six inches off the surface. One has seen Sachin do this often in the past - every time when he has not been playing fluently. No one except the complete idiot would believe that the ball kept low. Then to make it worse, Sachin walks off staring continuously at the spot where the ball had landed.

Come off it Sachin. That looks much worse than being beaten and bowled after a laborious 19.
I don't know if it's the longer hair, but he looks to me like he's aged about 5 years since the last time I saw him in the oz test series...

He's obviously a guy who needs a solid combination with those around him. Guptill was (and may still be, unsure) a poacher who has a magnificent sets of hands but forgets he's not at point anymore. And van Wyk doesn't want anything outside his eye line. We all know Taylor has a good pair of hands, and it may well be his fault he's not trusting those around him. 1st slip can be a very claustrophobic position. All the great ones, like Graeme Smith, Mark Taylor, Fleming etc usually had the same keeper for a long period of their career.

Yep, so 15 minutes lost because it looked like it was going to rain. Probably best to just leave the covers on until the cloud cover goes away I reckon. Don't want the batsmen to have to work for there runs or anything.

Franklin already? Cricinfo commentary made it sound like Boult hit some good areas towards the end of his last over.

I like the start by India - especially Dhoni. Not coming out and playing stupid shots like yesterday. A couple singles per over is enough for now - save the wickets for a little later.

Yeah thought they were going to change Boult's end but seems not. Martin not looking threatening right now (apart from one delivery)

Yeah, this makes no sense that I can understand. Strange captaincy to say the least.

Captaincy at it's finest here. James Franklin should barely bowl as it is, why he's bowling with a ball that is 10 overs old I have no idea.

Franklin should be bowling less overs than Williamson in general here IMO. Certainly shouldn't be getting anything close to a new ball unless they think he's going to swing the thing, which he hasn't in years.
