Great photos Neil.

Some take their time to load (or is it my PC?), but great work.
Nope, I opened all 70 at once and it completely broke my computer. :cool2:

Supposedly, they are 0.7MB and there's 70 so it will take a while.

Papps has to come in because you ought to drop McMillan, who is a complete waste of space. His only decent innings in the last three years have been two against the Bangles (wa-hey!) and an 82 while Styris was going bonkers at the other end and the bowlers were shellshocked.
perhaps you missed the india tour then? yes mcmillan should be dropped, not only because he failed at lords but the manner in which he got himself out in that 2nd innings...appalling stuff.
papps must come in because its imperative to have 2 specialist openers in england.....fleming just isnt an opener.

hussain is an arogant schmuck, who I and many other dislike.
From what I've seen and heard Nasser is a passionate, forthright character. Very honest and often self-deprecatory in interviews and all in all the kind of personality I enjoy seeing in the sporting world in general. There are too many mind-numbingly dull automatons these days, terrified (perhaps justifiably, given the media's knack of twisting/sensationalising quotes) to say anything that could be remotely construed as controversial or critical. Premiership footballers, on the whole, being prime examples.

I find it annoying that cricketers who have a little bit about them, aren't afraid to speak their mind, stick up for their team vigorously and, yes, perhaps occasionaly show a little bit of arrogance, are castigated and sometimes despised for it. Ganguly is another example.

I'd much rather listen to Nasser speak than endure a Vaughan interview that produces such revelations as "the achievement that this team has achieved is a fantastic achievement" or whatever he said after the Windies win.

Anyway, that's enough for one rant.

Regardless, as a cricketer he is a great player and he does well on the field. There should be no grudge held or made just because we had a good player, such as him, score a century against us. If it was a crappy player, there would be room for annoyance, but he played well and you can't fault him for it.

Oh my. Lame AND gay. Now that's going a bit far. How can someone be both lame AND gay? Think about it. It just doesn't work.

I dislike most of the English team. All, in fact, except for Hoggard. And I really hate Vaughan, Trescothick, Giles, and now Geraint Jones.

Their faces **** me off.

A lot of people are saying that here in NZ too, but what has someone like Trescothick got mentally or technique-wise that Fleming hasn't?

Fleming chucks a lot of innings away in the 30's or the 60's, but if I was betting on NZ reaching 20/0 I doubt I'd want anyone other than Richardson and Fleming out there.

We need to make changes for the next test, and i would suggest as i'm sure has been suggested previously in this thread. Here's what I'd do...

BATTING:
Open with Richardson and Papps
Push Fleming to number three
Drop McMillan
Swap Styris and Astle in the batting order

BOWLING:
Drop Martin
Drop Tuffey
Bring in Butler
Bring in James Franklin

Both Butler and Franklin are playing in the UK, and the both offer something we desparately need, number one pace (Butler), and number two variation (Franklin - left armer and he swings the ball)

Might seem a little radical in regards to Franklin in particular, but I pushed for his selection in the first place to add variation otherwise our attack looks very similar, as was evidenced in the first test.

I suspect they'll play Mills, but is he really the answer, somehow i don't think so, i hope i'm wrong but i doubt it. An average first class seamer who swings it from time to time, and got smashed in the ODI's against Pakistan. Somehow i don;t think the Poms will be shaking in their boots.

We NEED variation desparately especially with Vetorri bowling averagely.

What a thoroughly well thought out and constructed post.

You've really hit the nail on the head there, Isolator, and yet..... they told me how much they liked you and appreciated your support.

They will be so hurt, especially Geraint Jones. He takes so much care over his appearance, and it's all for you.

No, seriously, their faces annoy me. They should all wear balaclavas.

This next test what will the pitch be like. Are they usually good batting or bowling wickets.
Tradition has it that Headingley is a seam bowler's paradise - win the toss, put them in, that sort of thing.

Headingley is a great venue and a good cricket wicket (my favourite).
