25/26 years old, has dominated at every level, complete mystery to me why he hasn't played FC cricket.
If you look back at the cricket almanack from about 1999/2000 or 2000/01, they devoted quite a long article to him in the "happenings" section because he had a ridiculous season in under-18s where he pretty much scored a 50-ball century every week. He actually scored a 300 in one afternoon off about 150 balls.
Played for Auckland under-19s, and in one game Auckland got bowled out for 160 and he made 100, but didn't get picked for NZ under-19s.
I think there is something else to the story that I don't know tbh
