I think he means: 325-5 (50 overs) England v India Lord's 2002. England lost that game though. :p

I hope Flintoff plays properly for a while instead of trying to clear the boundary fielder, he'll score at a run a ball anyway.

Ah, sorry, misread one line for that post. :p *goes to edit*

Re: Flintoff scoring at a run a ball anyway - that's six balls with nothing to show for it, bring on the slogs - if he gets out, there are other batsmen anyway. :p

EDIT: Thankyou! :D

Quite a few inside-edges today, that one probably the closest. Nazmul has almost gotten Strauss out a few times, unfortunately it looks as though Strauss is going to win the scorecard battle.

We've seen the odds on Ponting still being captain at Ashes end.

Now for a real bet - what odds on Vaughan being around at the end of the summer?

They'll be happy to see the back of Flintoff, hits it to the same place as he did last game. Won't be too happy to see KP though, if he comes in next.

100-1.

He's the most successful England captain since the 1980s...

Vaughan would retain the captaincy were England to lose 5-0 imo

Agreed. Vaughan is a quality captain, however, his ODI batting is surely a major cause for concern. There's four pretty solid links in that England top 7 now in Strauss, Vaughan, Flintoff and Pietersen, Collingwood isn't too bad and he can bowl a bit and he's one of the better fielders going around, but Jones and Vaughan need looking at.

You can't be the best team when you've just lost to England twice, Somerset and Bangladesh. When they get back to beating England (and Bangladesh) then perhaps they'll be back to being the best team in the world.
So, the best team changes on a week-to-week basis then? So, when Bangladesh beat Australia, they became the best team in the world, right? Unless of course Somerset count, in which case as mentioned the best team in the world is probably Scotland or Leistershire... but Leistershire lost to Australia on this tour already! My, it's a confusing little world you live in, isn't it?

Fortunately for the rest of us, it takes a little bit more than one week and two games for a team that has dominatated for years to lose their claim to number one, unless of course you think India were the best test team in the world in 2001, New Zealand equal best in 2002 and so on. I mean, the NWS isn't even half finished yet and England and Australia have only played once in what was a pretty close game, don't you think your claims to the number one status are a tad premature?

Hi all by the way.
welcome to cw mate, i'm andy. the tour threads here in cc (cricket chat) are pretty good, but if you want to hang out with all the cool members, go to ot (off topic)

anyway, very interesting (from an aussie perspective at least) to see flintoff out for another low score
