Geez, that was an awful shot. Almost a half-volley, should've put it away fairly easily. Bangladesh doing the right thing though, pitching it up full enough to take advantage of the swing and hitting the seam. Both LBWs plumb, the batsmen really seem to be forgetting the basics at the moment.

well it isnt the first time ponting has got out lbw to the ball coming in, tends to play across the line when he first comes in. gough and vaas have both caused him problems with that delivery.

Since you've raised SP's response to something I posted, perhaps you would also like to address the 'excuses and belittling of the game' which I allegedly posted. All of the Australian posters who posted in relation to today's game accepted the defeat graciously, so it is frustrating to have stuff like that being recycled.

well my post wasnt exactly directed at you or any of the australians, just that it wouldnt be surprising if people came up with such an excuse, given that its been happening everytime we have had a successful series.

I'd expect Lee to come in for Australia, not sure for who though because the pitch will probably take spin, even if Hogg is in the Batty class based on his performance today.

but maybe its better for the aussies to go into a game without the burden of being expected to win.

I really hope so. It'll be fun to see him smacked of that poorly shoulder again.

Personally, I don't think they'll risk him until later in the series.

But its fairly obvious to everyone now, based on the incredible amount of improvement they've made over the summer, that there should be no questions asked about their test status.
