India seem to have been on the wrong end of the West Indies a few times now!

Whatever it takes!!!
India can't really handle slowish bowlers in the middle overs drying up the runs. You will find that it is the main reason India don't do well against Windies and Sri Lanka ( at least until recently).

Then they better watch out for Bradley Hogg, Pup Clarke, and the man himself, Clown Symonds.

Symonds is going to slaughter everything in his path in these upcoming one dayers. As is the Lord himself, Ponting. Oh god I can't wait for us to play some bloody cricket!

Ponting is a spent force. He's past it. Jumped the shark.

A push to revive the Tony Greig award and finally get me some CW award honours.

Bit batsman-heavy, so I suppose they're going to repeat the success with Gayle/Samuels taking 10 overs each.

You called Dwayne Smith a batsman. Common mistake though. Many people make it.

Can someone honestly explain the Indian selectors' new-found fascination with Dinesh Mongia? There's not much to suggest he's better than VVS Laxman or any of the Test openers, and when the Indians need some solidity in the middle-overs to face the sticky bowlers, he's the wrong choice. As a batsman, he's not that great to make an Indian top-six. If they expect him to perform as an all-rounder, he's as much of an all-rounder as Rikki Clarke or Paul Collingwood, and that's something the Indian team doesn't need. He may have had success with Lightning and Foxes, so he can stay with one of those teams instead.

Now when it comes to Hayden v. Katich I will take Hayden everyday of the week but he will be 35 when the world cup comes around. Jaques and Cosgrove are the future, they have mountains of runs behind them in domestic cricket and both had a succesful taste at international level.
So what if Hayden is 35? Many of Australia's best players last very long, and still play their best. In fact, I've noticed, almost all their best and most relevant players are over 30. He can still contribute with the bat and on the field, and that should be just right. Age is not an issue; skill, relevance and fitness are. Mark Cosgrove, from what we've heard, is fat and stodgy, and may be a weak link in the field, though I have yet to find an Australian cricketer of today who can't field. You do have a point about Phil Jacques, though.

His recent form perhaps in comparison to Laxman..

that link you quoted to me has this exact page 8 in this thread.
Welcome to the Matrix.

It was meant to link to Dave's 3-39 in his only ODI against India. A match where he could have had more than 3.

I blame Neo.
