Reckon he didn't get rid of it in time. Stokes could make for a ginger Bond in his new suave look.
Uthappa is overkill now that Stokes in in the side, not to mention Tewatia and Parag punching above their weight down the order. Why are rr bringing uthappa then hiding him down at 5 so stokes can open? Feels pointless.
Do you think they're surplus to the format's demands? Are there some stats anywhere on the proportion of strategic timeouts that are taken at any time other than defaulting to the latest possible time?
Yes, although I can understand why they're there for commercial reasons.Do you think they're surplus to the format's demands?
I'm inclined to agree with you the way things stand. Though theoretically at least, as the game becomes more attenuated, the potential for tactical moves in terms of revised targets, bowling zones, etc should become greater and of greater import too.Yes, although I can understand why they're there for commercial reasons.
It's more a case of it seeming silly to have flexibility in when they're taken if they're only ever taken because they have to be taken at that point.
and, apparently, against non-humans too (w.r.t. Smith)Only 17 runs in 4 overs - Ashwin again too good for cricket against humans
Yes, against Smith he didn't even need a catcher - did it all by himself. WAG!and, apparently, against non-humans too (w.r.t. Smith)
2 words I'd hoped to never hear together. Take a time-out.Reckon he didn't get rid of it in time. Stokes could make for a ginger Bond in his new suave look.
Showing off his galaxy brain captaincy, tbh. He's not doing anything in IPL anyway.
