Everyone is talking about the series as though WI has played crap and India has handed it to them. Give credit where credit is due. WI did lose the Test series by a convincing 2-0 so they've done pretty well.

India are certainly favourites to win this, but the youthful West Indies will have to be really fired up to win this, but if their batting comes through blazing through the Indian bowlers again it will be a close fight and all will depend on how the West Indian bowlers preform.

I might be a bit optimistic, but i have reasons for that, the way India has been playing, they look like a team that can win the cup, they just have to maintain the fitness level and avoid injuries!

Its really been dissapointing to me that all these Indian fans are so ****y and arrogant in their attitude. It really has been giving Indian fans (including me) a bad name. India are a good team and an emerging team, but no way are they as good as these delusional few put them out to be. If you are a true and passionate supporter you must accept the good with the bad, the Indian team still has many weaknesses, and we must accept that, but they have a good chance of winning the world cup 20 years on, if only we can pay respect to our other international friends and teams here then we can get respect for ourselves here as well.

A general hint, dont be arrogant, dont be ****y, India aren't great yet, respect other peoples opinions and arguements to get respect yourself.

And the way you lot are saying that India will be champions, if you keep this up, we wont even qualify for super sixes, so be quiet and dont jinx them, as many people would like to see India progress.

Being arrogant is not a crime unless one is insulting others, i for one haven't been commenting on the other teams! Talking about respecting other ppl opinions, i have read you asking others to Shut up, wonderful isn't it?

Mr Master Blaster...If you have problems with others then kindly use mails instead of attacking others senselessly in cricket forum. I have never degraded others and have alwys respected others opinion.If i have crossed my limits then kindly remind me that!

General hint, Only discuss cricket on the forum, this is not a place to discuss politics, terrorism and to pick over disputes with others!

Apologies on this point, I thought they were touring SA later this year, in which case I think they would've lost their unbeaten record. I got them confused with Pakistan. That said, India have to go to NZ, and that will not be easy for them, complete change of conditions.

Yes we can predict, and they aren't favourites for the cup because their bowling is weak, the conditions are far different from what they've experienced their recent success in, and there's also a team called Australia taking part. I've heard that they're not too bad!

England are poor, and were lacking several key players, yet in the only series played between the 2 nations this year, it was a 3-3 draw on Indian soil!

Hardly hot favourites for the cup form that is it?

If you ask me, I'd very very much like to see Powell scoring ( not smashing ) a match-winning century...but then again it is very improbable, once again I say, all depends wheather Gayle, Hinds, Sarwan and Chanders score and score quickly....

BTW: has anyone heard about whether Dillon and Lawson would be laying... I'd like to see Lawson instead of Collins and Dillon instead of Collymore coz they are much better bowlers.

Well thats your opinion and i respect that though i don't agree with it.India has a reasonable bowling attack(with khan in the squad) and they have a batting line up that can chase any total against any side.Infact they have been chasing 300+ quite regularly, i don't think many sides can do that.Australia is the defending champ and will start as fav's, but India in my opinion has as much chance(if not better) to win the cup!

But you keep forgetting that a side cannot be judge by a single series , MORE IMPORTANTLY, India defeated England in England and gave them a hammering in the CT after that series!!
And if thats ow you judge a side, then SA and Aus have no chance in the WC coz they were not even able to reach the final of the CT!!
