Im not talking about batting 100 balls for 10 runs. Im just saying he needs 5/10 overs to get settled. Not as if the guy has 100 tests behind him, he needs time in the middle. His place is by no means secure so the last thing he needs is to get out trying to 'pound the bowling' and looking a little foolish.

Sami is still a threat. He bowled a short zoomer to Karthik, who flicked it to square-leg, only to get caught easily. No timing, angled bat.

Laxman is a player who likes to score quickly. He's a stylist and can play a wide variety of shots. Even if he's just chipping balls on the on-side (3 boundaries in a Naved-ul-Hasan over) regularly or running hard between wickets, he just has to score quickly because he has a massive platform built for him.

Yes but i specifically referring to Karthik needing a little time. I agree Laxman should attack a little more (seems like he is now though after the three boundaries).

It's not like Pathan,Balaji etc are going to hang around either. I'm just hoping they build a big big lead so they dont have to bat again.

I'm from the North-East (Chembur), the darker part of the city- not as active or vibrant as Andheri, Bandra, Worli or Fort, but not as deserted as the newer extensions of the city.
