Thakur was the biggest problem from what I saw

You can carry a debutant like Prasidh in these conditions if a Shami is playing but Thakur was pretty awful and placed additional pressure upon the former

At least Prasidh has some potential but Thakur really offered very little in this guise

Yeah, Prasidh can work on his game and has the tools to be a decent bowler. Ishant regularly bowled garbage for the first part of his career but turned out alright.

Thakur is a lot more limited. At best he can do a job in swinging conditions.

A great win for SA, not all that surprising to see them win as they are always tough to beat at home but still a bit surprising they won by an innings.

Kohli showed his class by top scoring in the second innings like Rahul did with his ton in the first innings, two of the old school Indian test batsmen.

Elgar was a deserving Player of the Match and Bedingham and Burger both look like great prospects for SA.

the overreaction to Prasidh is weird here and everywhere else tbh he got picked because he took a 5 wicket haul in these conditions recently and had all the right attributes to succeed

no excuse for Thakur really when there are alternatives to him plenty

This team gives me those 8-0 vibes again. Elgar was brilliant but allowing Jansen to score runs so freely was criminal.

I am down on the Pakistan team and have stopped actively supporting them long ago, since Misbah made them a defensive unit. I can't back that brand of cricket. Let's see how Shan Masood turns out tho.

India at least play attacking cricket worth watching even when I don't want them to win.
