Desperate times...Damn now even Indian posters are doing the "Come to India, then we'll see" thing.
Sad times.
But he is denying himself a test 10 fer. Those conditions made Elgar look like a superstar spinner...Elgar knew that the pitches in India will be similar to the ones he saw in 2015, so he decides to retire before touring there again. Smart boy.....
A good reminder that Rohit was the recipient of the ATG sledge from SteynRohit did one better in the post match presser
“It’s not true that we can’t bat outside India, look at the recent past where we have”
Poor response, even if you brush aside the fact that it’s not even true
You have to take it on the chin mate. One of the thrills of being a supporter is seeing how your team goes in foreign conditions. India will probably trample SA in India, but now they should be asking themselves how things went so pear shaped in this Test.Desperate times...
It's been long since we thrashed South Africa...I want to see Jansen's dejected long face when bowling on Indian pitches.
I can't remember if SA have ever had two in one Test Team since readmission atleast? It helps that they both have such different styles. It's so weird watching a team with two left arm pacers. It's like showing up with your brother to a threesome, it shouldn't be that distasteful but it just is.
To be honest we havent had many for some reason that was international standard - except maybe Brett Schultz. Unfortunately injury proneI can't remember if SA have ever had two in one Test Team since readmission atleast? It helps that they both have such different styles.
South Africa have had 17 left-arm seamers in total.I can't remember if SA have ever had two in one Test Team since readmission atleast? It helps that they both have such different styles.
I was going by since readmission. Lot of old timers on that listSouth Africa have had 17 left-arm seamers in total.
I didn't check pre-readmission, but it hasn't happened since then. The careers of Parnell and Tsotsobe overlapped, but they didn't play a test together.Bowling records | Test matches | Cricinfo Statsguru | ESPNcricinfo.com

as long as Thakur is out im happy but they will likely use Prasidh as the convenient scapegoatJaddu if fit, for Ash. As much as it pains me to say this, Jaddu is a better batsman and that is what we need at #7. In case the pitch is not a green mamba and actually allows the spinner to play some role in the game, I would rather play both and see if we can play Avesh as the 3rd seamer.
I am not one for knee jerk reactions but when you only play 2 tests in a series, you gotta sometimes make these changes fast.
Not too many standouts among the old timers either. Goddard obviously, and maybe Hall but he only played 7 matches in 8 years.I was going by since readmission. Lot of old timers on that list
Hall and Nourse both bowled in two matches, the 4th and 5th tests in 22/23. Nourse was bowling little by that point so it barely counts.I didn't check pre-readmission
I would have liked for Hendricks to have got a proper shot a few few years back. His action is just so good to watch. To be honest we havent had many for some reason that was international standard - except maybe Brett Schultz. Unfortunately injury prone
