This is the problem with talking **** when you're a bowler. /you get bouncers at your throat.
Maybe that's why he does it. He's much more capable against that stuff, as uncomfortable as it is, than full bowling on off.

Successfully trolling bowlers into bowling to his strength, WAG.

Australian ex-cricketers love hyping up Indian cricketers. Last time KL was supposed to be next Tenda and now Pant is next Gilly

I just hope we can keep Australia's lead to under a 100 from here
Even by my standards this is silly.

EDIT: Yes it is easy for me to say in hindsight. But it was still only 8/230-odd at that point.

Yeah but it’s like when Michael holding yaps up England when in reality they’re **** - it’s where the Arthur Ashe is for them.

O yes lots of people calling Ashwin a 'fat bastard' or similar for pages after pages here was totally justified, and I am at fault for taking objection to that!

The hypocrisy is absolutely real here, and it's not about one Indian player vs another but rather one Indian batsman vs one Indian spinner. Ashwin is the world's best spinner today and India's best match-winner of probably all-time. The kind of flak he gets from all Indian posters here (except Shri and myself) is not meted out to ANY Indian batsman.
Always thought of Ashwin as a slightly better version of Kumble in the first half of his career. One thing Kumble has over Ash is his performance Down Under and Pakistan in 2003-04. Ashwin is reaching the same stage of his career. If he could repeat something similar to those 2 performances, he will definitely be India's best ever matchwinner.

Those 2 Shami wickets came out of nowhere. He never looked like taking one. If he gets a hat-trick now, nothing like it.

Shami is just weird like that. Sometimes has world class spells where he's really unlucky and goes wicketless. Then he'll come back and bowl filth and get a 4fer

Can't wait for Lyon to run through India's lineup now.

Terrible stuff, those last 2 wickets.

Hughes' hattrick, for those wondering how it worked:

Merv Hughes

Australia v West Indies, Perth, 1988

A little known fact about the unusual hat-trick of Merv Hughes against the West Indies in 1988 - which was split over two innings - is that Windies quick Courtney Walsh had achieved the same feat just two weeks earlier, becoming the first man in Test history to take a hat-trick over two innings.

But Merv's effort was even more unusual as it was not only spread over two innings, but three overs as well.

Having dismissed Curtly Ambrose with the last ball of his 36th over in the West Indies' first innings, Hughes removed Patrick Patterson with the first ball of his next over to end the innings.
Merv Hughes

Then, more than a day later, Hughes trapped Gordon Greenidge in front with his first ball of the Windies' second innings to make it three wickets in three balls.

It was such an unusual feat, that the man himself didn't even realise until later on that he'd become just the 18th man to take a Test hat-trick.

The fact that Walsh is not one of his wickets is a minor victory for Walsh.
