only sachin is taking rest. rest all are having injuries, in any case, nobody is making excuses, cause I believe they have done pretty well so far. so no real need to have a go.
So why jump down my throat for no reason and then go all defensive then?

Exactly who is having a go? Aren't people allowed to cheer for WI (likable underdogs etc.)?

Aw, C'mon guys, attack! With the ball and with the field setting. Try and get a wicket or two in the next couple of overs. A reasonable chance for a win at an extremely small risk of of a loss.

Vijay's running between the wickets is a disaster waiting to happen. The new ball movement seems to have eased out now.

WI have performed better than India in this match when you consider the circumstances they have had to deal with (losing the toss in overcast conditions, bad decisions, making do with 3 bowlers in their first innings).
Don't agree tbh.

They lost the toss in the first innings but still shouldn't have gotten out for as low a score as they did .
And India have had to bat last so that evens itself out a bit.

They have been certainly more unlucky with decisions(but a couple of them went against India too) and the illness to Rampaul ,but they still should have been closer in the match than what they are now to say they have performed better.

Pretty sure India had another gear if required too and let them in because of complacency which probably would not have occured had that not happened.

There hasn't been much movement beyond the initial new ball overs in any of the innings this match.

Yeah, but still they've done a very good job IMHO.

pls reread his post... he was saying - 'we'll see what indians are made of- unless I missed thw word west therein, there was nothing there referring to west indies team.

I am not interested in continuing this convo flibbertygibberer....

In situations like these Dravid gets on to my nerves. Just can't be expected to play to match situation.

Edit: Dravid, not Dhoni.

absolutely agree...

there was an easy three on the offer, but the batsmen decided to cool their hills for the throw...

rubbish stuff indeed.

I meant the youngsters in the side who will eventually have to replace the old guard. If you are reading something else into it that is fine. FFS stop the complex pal.

Well, kind of stating the obvious that a couple of wickets (especially Dravid and Laxman) could set the cat among the pigeons... nothing out of the ordinary there.

This pitch is looking like some of the day 5 belters we've seen in places like Ahmedabad, Brisbane and Abu Dhabi recently.

wouldn't mind Dravid going out here... would make the match a bit more interesting.

I don't think Dravid is doing a bad job. Wouldn't have wanted anyone else in the world to walk in at 0-1 after the first ball, so gotta take the rough with the smooth.

Dravid has decided to go for draw it seems...
Could be the plan though, he drops anchor and the man at other end goes for the runs. Better having him there for entire innings than him getting out trying to force an unlikely win.

Remember India only scored at 3.2 in their first innings so to score at 4 an over in the 2nd on a worn pitch is a difficult task. Take into consideration that WI can also bowl negatively and waste time till the umpires take the light and i can't really see an Indian win.
