It seems the West Indians seem to have exploited the weak link in the Indian batting lineup well (guess who?)
It's a broken link. Rusty. Corroded. Burnt. Trash it.

The West Indians are not particularly great runners between wickets, so the Indian team has a chance, so they have to hit the stuumps at nine throws of ten. But, there's always one Agarkar to turn a match the other way....

Chappell looks pretty annoyed. Don't blame him.

I've never been so frustrated over a ODI match for a long time. Especially one that doesn't mean too much.

Irfan and Sreesanth gotta bowl out of their skin.

Me too. If I was in the dressing room, I would seriously sock Venu with all my might.

Sehwag was out in 29th over , Score was 174. Since then India have scored 70 runs in 19 overs.

Nice going India. I bet 245 is going to be our final score. Bye Bye Agarkar. 3 Wasted balls.

One may feel sorry for Robin Uthappa, who's a quick-scoring opener and maybe a Test prospect, and he's been sidelined in ODI's for two middle-order batsmen who don't look the part in ODI's one bit. Likewise Gautam Gambhir.

Pretty good slower balls by Bravo. Perfect death bowling. Of course, India helped them right along.

Rao should be banned from all ODI's. Parliament can pass a law.

Now the Indians have lasted the full 50 overs.....but erratic (and at times lazy) running and lack of hitting power (and intention) have cost them more than a few runs.

Parliament seems more interested in Ganguly's place......

We don't need a parliament. Venu will earn a ban with his bat .. no help needed. If we ever see him again, I seriously won't chat on CW for that match out of protest. :p

Haha, Sreesanth's player card was hilarious. 16 matches, with a high score of 0*.
Make that one....

On a lighter note, seeing how the Indians batted, would you have a lower order of Irfan, Yadav, Bangar, Powar and Joginder in the next match?

Last 21 overs yielded 72 runs. Dhoni Strike rate 58, Pathan 25, Rao 43, Powar 12, AA 38 tells the story of wasted balls.

Take a hard look at yourself India. The one time Sehwag gives India a platform and the middle and lower order stuff it up.

Other than Sehwag, Kaif and to an extent Raina everyone else was a huge disappointment.

Bring Kapil Dev back. I'm sure he's still good for ten runs off four balls or something.

NO, because Alone SreeSanth is better than combined 30 overs from JPYadav, Bangar and Joginder Sharma.

  • Dhoni– Should have taken more singles, since Kaif isn't averse to it
  • Irfan– at least he didn't last too long, but he should have tried to hit some big shots
  • Rao– Let's pretend that never happened
  • Agarkar– Likewise
  • Powar– Tough luck with one that went off the pad on the stumps, but not an excuse for dot balls
