as mark nicholas said ``given the match, given the situation, it was a staggering gamble to worked beautifully``.
No he didn't. His grammar isn't that bad.

Looks like he's not fit for test cricket yet. That means Suresh Raina gets the nod.
Jaffer-Sehwag-Dravid-Laxman-Yuvraj-Dhoni-Pathan-Kumble-Harbhajan-Sreesanth-Patel
Reserves: Kaif, Raina, RP Singh, Gambhir, Powar/Karthik

Absolutely. Laxman should be a sure selection, especially in Tendulkar's absence. One of the few experienced class batsmen left for us (Ganguly is finished, Sehwag is in poor form) and an exceptional close-in fielder, Laxman must play. A Dravid-Laxman-Yuvraj middle-order will do just fine provided the openers don't fail miserably.

Absolutely shattered that Sachin won't play. Really was looking forward to seeing him and Lara play against each other for the last time. That really sucks.

I am disappointed too, but it's good to see that Sachin isn't rushing himself back if he isn't ready. I'd rather watch him for the next two years than watch him in this series.
Besides, we're not missing much performance-wise at the moment and it'll create good competition in the middle-order and allow Sachin to come back full-strength.

I definitely would have liked to see him play his last Caribbean Tour, but on a positive side of things, i rather see him play WC for us than rushing himself in as Adharcric suggested..

1) I wish Sehwag played like this more often. This is such a good example as to why I always describe him as a dangerous ODI batsman, and not a great one.
2) This situation is perfect for Kaif. With Sehwag firing Kaif can just nudge it around and ensure the runs keep ticking over, wickets aren't falling to stupid shots whilst Sehwag gets strike as well.

I thought Raina gave away his wicket, it was very unnecessary to play that shot... all in all good little cameo to kick start the Indian Innings..

The longer Sehwag bats, the longer Lara will hold off the power-play and the better it is for India.

Sehwag just needs to not get out for as long as possible, and make a century whilst doing so.

I think that if Sehwag can stay for at least 10-12 more overs, perhaps until the 35th over, it will be excellent for India. After that, we've got plenty of other power hitters who can take the score up, and it will be nice to see Sehwag score some runs as well. He should have 120-130 by then.

I think Sehwag read this forum yesterday and got motivated by all the negative comments on him!
