West Indies are in a perfect postion to win this test match, i'd be shocked if they lose it from here.

Would not go that far but without him today the Indians would have got rolled out for easily less than a hundred. Magnificent innings of determination and resolve, shame he could not reach three figures but it was just another indication in the gulf in class between him and the rest of the Indian batters who continually flatter to deceive when the going gets tough.

Agreed with everything you just said.

Man I gotta say I couldn't be happier with the Windies performance. Sure it was frustrating with the stupid dropped catches and seeing Kumble and Dravid score a 93 run partnership but all in all it was great to see a young West Indian fast bowler bowling with pace and aggression reminiscent of the past legends.

This could be the series that sparks a new beginning for the Windies. Its been too long and the fans have suffered long enough.

Taylor's yorker to Yuvraj Singh was amazing!

Finally we have 2 fast bolwers Jerome Taylor and Fidel Edwards who can consistantly hit the 140 plus mark but at the same time have good control and variation.

I know I might be jumping the gun but I'm just too happy.

I hope much like Sri lanka that West Indies cricket is also on the rise.

Another wicket! 78-5. Like I said, they lost this game as soon as they picked only four bowlers, and only two seamers.
That makes absolutely no sense - the extra batsman only means 200 is made - so play one less?!

Have to say much kudos to Kumble - if he'd gone early Dravid wouldn't have had the chance to help the side as far as 200.

Suggests this pitch can have runs made on it if you're prepared to battle - which will suit one half of the opening partnership...

Yes. With one less batsman they might have made 192...but with an extra bowler they would have a much better chance of winning. Basically, and extra bowler would contribute more to the team cause than a Kaif/Yuvraj.

quantity doesn't necessarily mean quality...as we learnt over three tests....

But right now we have neither quantity nor quality when it comes to our bowling. Ideally, I'd rather have quality but since thats not an option -- you have to go for quantity. If and when munaf patel and sreesanth become consistent, then it could work.

As if it was the extra batsman who made the difference. 8-) 8-)

Whatever it takes!!!
who all dropped the catches in the windies side and how easy/difficult were they?

Well done to the Windies bowlers, I watched the match off and on (was watching Germany Vs Argentina :) ) and I thought Taylor bowled quite brilliantly there.

Lara gone. I think we should all thank Taylor, he seems to have inspired Sreesanth to get back into full flow. For the first time since the England series, he's bowling looks dangerous.

My comments are accurate. However, I was completely wrong today. Assuming they can clean up the tail and have a lead of 50+, then they've done really well and I'm very happy for them.
