I feel SA's sledging needs to be delivered with a bit more tact, heard a load of pretty horrendous Afrikaans on occasions.. Why sledge someone in a language they can't understand??

Hey man, straight and narrow. No need to come up with poetry when you can just go up to someone and say 'Hey mate, you're ****'.

and whose the tit when SA get crushed by seven wickets? Nel... You only sledge someone if you are intent on ending their career or as dominant as Jeff Thomson..

Just a bit of fun. If you get under their skin, you can really dominate them.

DRAVID BOWLED

India done.

Maybe it was the sledging, but he never looked at ease. That short ball he hit for four wasn't a very good shot and he follows it up with an inside edge to a perfect length ball.

Tendulkar gone, maybe the sledging worked with him too...though he's pretty tough mentally.

India will be lucky to get 150.

First time ever, I feel sorry for an international cricketer.

They are going to eat Raina alive. I bet he's going to go into the pavilion crying.

Consensus on Cricbuzz: Dravid is an uninspiring captain and doesn't perform when the team needs him. That is stupid even by cricbuzz standards.

A few stray comments...

Looking at sledging and the effect on the Indian team, the Indians seem to lose out both ways. When we've seen the likes of Donald, Flintoff, Nel, McGrath and a few West Indians sledge the Indians, it often works when it has to. When Zaheer, Kumble, Parthiv and Irfan have sledged any team, it's backfired badly on the Indian team. What do you do in such a situation? Think about it, but the answer, given by many, is obvious- concentrate on the game.

Critics label the likes of Dhoni and Raina as mere flat-track heroes, but what great thing have Tendulkar and Dravid done? They were needed most at this stage and both departed in quick succession, with barely 62 runs on the board. It's happened frequently, over the last six years. This is certainly worth a thought before criticising Chappells' 'long-term planning', 'future vision' and other ideas.

This is make or break for one of Suresh Raina, Dinesh Mongia, Jaffer and Kaif. At least one of them is excess baggage in the team. Given the form of Pollock, Ntini and even Langeveldt and and Nel, they were clearly missing Irfan when they were bowling. They will now miss him with the bat as well, as the required rate climbs up. Likewise, Kumble got two for 31 in the practice match, and what happens? He's sitting out, while Tendulkar and Mongia bowl at least ten overs too many.

How was Munaf picked for a one-day match against the South Africans? Looking at the lieks of Gibbs and Prince in action, they are a superb fielding side, who can trouble even the best of batsmen and greatly strengthen an average bowling lineup. Munaf is exactly the opposite. He's too lazy to bend and pick up a ball, let alone turn around and throw. His outfielding is dreadful. Besides, for someone who's supposed to be outright quick, he's not bowling any faster than the Irfans, Agarkars and bowling all-rounders who've played for India.

Are you serious? He has only scored against all opposition in every country, and pretty much single handedly won us the last test in the WI on a track that was brutal to bat on.

Oh right, the greatness of Irfan Pathan. Though Kumble should have been in here, especially with the bounce.

Agarkar and Pathan are not in the same class in terms of bowling speeds. Pathan bowls in the mid to high 70's, Agarkar is mid 80's.
