Not for a South African wicket but Jaffer played at the ball like he was batting at Mumbai.adharcric said:Was there really unusual bounce or seam on that ball? Jaffer just played a poor shot and got owned IMO.

What the hell has Gambhir done at the international level anyway?Arjun said:Jaffer was picked over the aggressive, quick-scoring daredevil Gambhir because "his technique would come useful and deliver solid starts in South Africa", says the regressive Chairman of Selectors.
What technique is Colonel talking about? He chopped a slightly wide delivery onto the stumps, leaving the team at zero for one when a solid start was needed.
Looked good enough to consistently make runs. His only problem was throwing away starts. Jaffer didn't even get one today.silentstriker said:What the hell has Gambhir done at the international level anyway?
Don't bother -- barring a fantastic knock from Dravid, I doubt its going to happen.pasag said:Pollock gets Kaif for 8. Trying hard to stay up here.

Amazing. Next closest is Inzi at 11000 odd runs. Think Sachchin will crack 20,000 before he retires?silentstriker said:Sachin @ 18,000 limited overs runs. Wow.
Dunno, he might retire after the WC, at least from ODI's.Fusion said:Amazing. Next closest is Inzi at 11000 odd runs. Think Sachchin will crack 20,000 before he retires?
