By the way

England is already in 3rd Place, as they Beat WI 3-0 with 103 points

If India take Pak 2-1 , they will be 4th Place with 102 points

Don't go yet to the ICC page, it's not been updated but you can see the chart there

Yes, he's mistaken about that.

But just like when South Africa passed Australia for #1 when Australia had crushed South Africa in test after test over six played both in RSA and Australia, this shows how stupid the rankings are. The last seven tests between India and England have gone 3 to India, 2 to England and 2 draws. How can England be ranked higher. It's asinine. But let's not even get ahead of ourselves, because India hasn't beaten Pakistan yet.

Why move your best batsman away from where he performs best?
If Tendulkar performs best at 4, I can't imagine how he'd fare elsehwere. I mean with his mighty scores of 1 (3), I hope he doesn't injure himself with all that strokeplay.

There was a really funny comment on the telecast of the match. (I was watching on Willow.tv so I don't know which feed it was.) I believe it was Robin Jackman and Dean Jones commentating, Jones for sure. After a particularly nasty delivery from Akhtar, Jackman said something to how had Jones been at the crease for that shot, he would have nicked it to the keeper. Jones responded, "My name's Jones, not Tendulkar."

I couldn't stop laughing :D :D :D

India 75-25 to win this Test Match

What does everyone feel?

Rahulpindi might go to make 200 and tendulkar won't like him doing
I'd say India 60-40 to win. With three days to go, so much can still happen! Remember on Day 3 at Lahore, Pakistan was in a better position as they were only 3 down, but collapsed until Kamal stood up. So after tomorrow, we should be able to give more concrete odds.

Hehe, I love that nickname.

On an unrelated note, poor Akhtar. Injures his non-bowling wrist and can't bowl anymore. What is that? Play through it man. Pakistani fans, dont get mad, you know I really like Akhtar as a cricketer and admire him, so it really came a shock when he came off the field and didn't come back all day.

Dishnetwork is giving that feed to Willow.tv, we are seeing the same commentators. I heard that too, but I can't forget the 2 good ones. Sami got hit so many times, Jones said "Sami's got more hits than the Beatles". Also, when Sami got hit in the crotch and Nehra was going back to finish the over, Shep told sami " Youv'e got 2 balls left". Hilarious

I don't know the intensity of his pain, but I think Marshall bowled once with a fractured left hand.

Kumble with face plastered, came-out and took Lara's wicket in WI

There's not a lot of lateral movement, but there is some if the bowler is prepared to bend his back. The scoring has been relatively quick after lunch, but some of the Pakistani seam bowling has been pretty woeful at times (i.e. the Indian batsmen have scored off the balls they could reach). McDravid is having as many lives as Flintoff at the moment - not just the drop at cover but a couple of really streaky edges through the slips, the one onto his boot which was inconclusive (no ultra-vision in this game).
About that boot incident, his knee was slanting towards the ground, the ball had to hit the ground to pop like that..watched the tape. Thats what I see, applying my poor physics

No, you said that after thrashing Pakistan (if you indeed do, which looks likely, but you can never tell, Pakistan have come back from similar positions recently) you'd move into 3rd above England as well.

That link tells you that 3-0 will secure England 3rd.

So there was a slight error, in any case i'm more interested in India over-taking Pak as a test team.

And yes India will thrash Pak in this test match, atleast i can easily say that!

I read a good article by noted Pak cricket columnist "omar Kureshi". He compared the bowling performance of India and Pak team and commented that unlike Indian pacers Pak pacers were not able to swing the ball at all, and it seems to be a "lost art" in Pakistan!!

india looks like winning this with a huge lead of 376. our bowlers need to fire taking these 10 wickets as early as possible to win it. if a wicket dont fall for sometime, it wont be any helpful to the bowlers. also, pakistan will take around end of day 4 or little into day 5 for making 376 runs, so india should aim to get pak all out before lunch on day 5 and shouldnt allow pak to set more than 100. a target like 200 in a session will be tough, but i doubt if pak can make these 376 runs

For some reason, probably best known to himself, Imran Farhat chases a widish one from Balaji and nicks it to Sehwag at slip.

What is the point in playing at ones that you don't have to at this stage in the game?

Taufeeq joins him in the Pavilion.. 34/2 and Kamran Akmal in as night-watchman.

I've not made any predictions about the IndoPak series thus far, but I'm going to make one now, and that's that I cannot see Pakistan saving the Test (and series) now.
