Fair point Spark. So what do you guys think of Finn's recall? Hasn't OT been favourable for tall pacemen in the past? Do you think Finn is ready to be recalled?
No. Tendulkar wasn't allowed to testify because Proctor deemed that he was too far to hear any of the exchange. Hansen disagreed and did take his testimony. This got distorted in the Australian media as Tendulkar changing his story. Was the teri maki defence submitted to the Proctor hearing? Did he say at the same hearing he was too far away to hjear Harby?

Right, but I was asking in more general terms?Doesn't especially matter which, when the question is over this next Test. 'Significantly affecting his ability' is the sort of legalese I'd use if I had to
It's an odd one isn't it? If he were truly knackered then why is he even in the squad? What does buggered mean in this context? Permanently or short term?
TBF it's not unique for bowlers to struggle through with iffy feet. They're always whining about it. There was a feature about it on Broad, I think, earlier this year showing the shoes they go through and how they've been adapted. It's an odd one isn't it? Truly hilarious. Can someone please tell him that Ashwin will be as good a bat, if not better, than Rohit. Specialist bat my foot. And I used to be a Rohit supporter until last year. Guy does not deserve that cap as of now.India have options, and they could prove you wrong, but in the absence of Ishant, this side does not look like one that will take 20 wickets for fewer runs than what their batsmen score. That is one reason that could make India think of stacking their batting up, and retain Rohit. Unless Dhoni looks to bowl that extra bowler for more than 10-12 overs, he will be better off with that specialist batsman at No. 6.
Reminds me of Morne Morkel's foot after the first test in Sl a few weeks back. https://twitter.com/NeilManthorp/status/490789958601277440/photo/1TBF it's not unique for bowlers to struggle through with iffy feet. Always been the way. No proper fast-bowler doesn't play through pain, hence why certain ones are called soft often, if they don't run in like the Black Knight. No such thing as genuinely being 100% for these guys.
Seeing Ishant written in that light is truly incredible.Sid Monga's piece on India's pre-test match scenes has this:
Truly hilarious. Can someone please tell him that Ashwin will be as good a bat, if not better, than Rohit. Specialist bat my foot. And I used to be a Rohit supporter until last year. Guy does not deserve that cap as of now.
Also, Monga seems to be under the assumption that if Bhuvi doesn't play, India will need to call in Umesh Yadav or someone else. Why does he think an attack of Shami, Aaron, and Pandey won't be played? In fact, he never even mentions Pandey's name in the entire article. Something up with that?
I've heard some about Aaron but what sort of speeds does Pandey bowl at? Is he a tall, hit the deck type like Sharma (in which case I think he'll play) or a swing bowler?Between Varun Aaron and Ishwar Pandey, any idea who was better in the warm up games, and is generally in better FC form?
Look I just have to say thats a sweet move. I've learned alot from it.No. Tendulkar wasn't allowed to testify because Proctor deemed that he was too far to hear any of the exchange. Hansen disagreed and did take his testimony. This got distorted in the Australian media as Tendulkar changing his story.
EDIT: Just saw mod post above.
He is slower than Aaron for sure, but nor by that much. He looks like a hit the deck kind of bowler.I've heard some about Aaron but what sort of speeds does Pandey bowl at? Is he a tall, hit the deck type like Sharma (in which case I think he'll play) or a swing bowler?
