Well done to Ponting on his 257. Forget the Bradman comparisons, now he can compare himself to Wasim Akram :P

Now that Ponting is gone, India are free to win.

Oh wait, what's that lead again...?

Oh well. Gentlemen will fight back. For some reason I think this game has great potential to be drawn...the Indians definitely wouldn't mind it...

u mean game or seires? I feel , now aus is having 70% of winning the match,20% for a draw(with some resistance from Rahul) , 10% chance of indian win (with some superhuman effort from Sachin and kumble)

I meant the game. If the game is drawn, then India probably woudn't mind it. That's what I meant. Because then, the worst that could happen is we draw the series and the best, we win.

Going into Sydney 1-1 won't be so good for an Indian player's confidence.

USELESS UMPIRING! absolute BS! chopra's bat was nowhere near the ball, it was obvious that it deflected off the pad. well if aust. is going to win, the umpiring will have a lot to do with it. absolutely PATHETIC.

Sewag out to a brilliant catch by Williams off Lee. Ganguly batting at 4. Chopra might have got a stiff one but my first impression was that he nicked it and it was only after several slowmo, magnified replays that suggest he hit his back pad. Umpiring is a tough job and you can't expect to be 100% right all the time.

Sehwag's great luck deserts him:D

Why is Ganguly at 4 , surely [AM] the greatest player ever [/AM] wasnt scared of facing Brett Lee :O :O

oh dont give me that BS, chopra was clearly not out, shep needs to get his eyes tested otherwise needs to be kicked out for biased umpiring. sehwag's wicket didn't worry me too much, thats his style, full credit to him for his brilliant first innings knock. one can't expect too much from him. puzzled by ganguly's decision to come in, maybe he's saving sachin's wicket for tomorrow..because i'm sure sachin would not have refused to come out and bat.

Umpires make mistakes , calling a man of Shep's repute & experience biased is plain stupid.

I didnt hear anyone whingeing during the Australian innings when Hayden got a bad call , Steve Waugh didnt play a shot but that dosent take away from the fact the ball would have missed the stumps by about 4 inches , MacGill also got a pretty scrathcy one.

Lets not whine about the umpires anymore , it works both ways:)

Shep is a very good umpire since he allowed hayden to complete his century he was clearly out even before he reached 100

And what was the problem with hayden's dismissal the ball missing middle stump!!!!

the australians are only out if the ball is hitting middle stump
