Pontings always been unstoppable once hes got his eye in but now i think as soon as he gets to the crease he plays like hes already made a hundred and is looking for 250

Pontings one of the most exciting cricketers going round is you want boring then, laxmans 19 off like 80 balls, akash copra in every innings he plays and anil kumbles bowling. after watching 10 overs of him bowling you start getting sleepy let a lone after 51
Ermm... I think you misunderstood me. I too enjoy watching Ponting bat but if he makes another big score in the series like today then that is it for India's chances of winning this series:(

Ponting also broke Hayden's record for most run's by an Australian in a year and did it in 8 less innings to.

He now has almost 1500 test run's this year at an avrage of 98 in only 17 test innings.

He also past Lara for most test runs this year as well.

yeh it would have been smarter to send laxman in seeing he is in great form. But i wonder why Tendulkar just didnt go in and block at least then he could get some knowledge of the conditions and hopeully play his way out of this form slump

Or even more logical to send in the normal no.4, Tendulkar?

Why does the supposed best batsman in the world have to be shielded?
I would have thought it would have been better for him to come out, rather than admit that he has a problem with confidence by Ganguly coming out instead........

Well you would expect it would have been Tendulkar's decision as to wether or not he came out to bat.

Ganguly isnt in too good form either and he was lucky to have survived that little session. lee was unlucky not to get him as he could have so easily played on twice.

because of sheps early mistakes
Those would have no bearing on the the Aussies not collapsing now. Add in the fact that there were only a couple that were even close to being out, and it looks like a case of sour grapes here...

Does anyone think it is at all possible that this game will be drawn?
Neil and Liam said before the game, but right now, I'd say there's no chance unless a freak storm hits Melbourne...

This y I said earlier, neutral umpires are not always neutral when India asks questions.( I know many over here will disagree)
Well of course we will disagree.

Since the umpires standing in this game are from neither Australia or India, they are neutrals.

They don't suddenly become Australian mid-Test.

Occasionally mistakes are made, but these mistakes go both ways - witness the stumping that was/wasn't out when Sehwag had only a few...

well if aust. is going to win, the umpiring will have a lot to do with it. absolutely PATHETIC.
Try removing the blinkers and look at the greater picture. There's been decisions going India's way in this match as well.

If Australia win this match it'll be because their side is stronger when you go down the 11 vs 11, and it's even stronger when you consider that 2 of the Indian bowlers were selected when unfit...

Where you watching the same match as me? MacGill's was as plumb as it gets :P . Infact even Agarkar was appealing as though it was a formality until he noticed that Bowden was not giving that he really appealed. Hitting on the back leg in front of the middle and if that isn't plumb then nothing is. Steve Waugh's out too. He padded away a google from Kumble that hit him just outside off stump. It was going to hit off. You can't argue with that one
Hawkeye showed both to be missing the stumps , Waugh's by a good few inches , MacGill's creeping over the top of leg , obviously hawkeye aint fool proof but I agreed with it on both counts.

HOW TO BE GOOD UMPIRE AND CONTINUE IN ICC PANEL

1) When in doubt

Give indian's out :O :O

Give australian's not-out :saint: :saint:

So the 3rd Umpire who gave Sehwag not out when he was out of his crease on 38 obviously doesn't want to get on then?
