The match starts on Thursday doesn't it? In that case, they won't need much of the weekend!
LOL, I sure hope the match goes atleast 4 days, I want to get my money's worth :)

There were times when I really used to despair for humanity.

Then I read a post by Amits and I immediately realised that he is really quite astute, that I agree with the crux of his points.

Then they locked me up.

hopefully bruce reid has taught the indian bowlers how to sledge in a short time
Maybe they ought to go for Glenn McGrath instead of Wasim Akram, then

There will be no Sidhu this time :( . Espn-Star seems to have dumped him. Oh well atleast Boycott is going to start his commentary stint again.

India has won the toss and is fielding:yawn:

Ian Healy and Tony Greig both reccomended batting, a very defensive move - i dont think it was the best decision, the outfield is wet and that will wreck the ball. not the best decision for mine, time will tell

The pitch could be a lush field for all I care, that's a bad move IMO. India's best chance is like anyone else v Australia. Go out there in the first Test and if possible bat first and look to post an aggressive total (ie dont look to bat 2 days for 300 runs, bat positively) to establish some sort of footing in the Test series from the word 'go'. This is where England made the mistake last year IMO. They would have still lost the series, but I'm pretty sure that it would have been far less one-sided.

Also, with Tendulkar, Dravid, Laxman and Ganguly at the core, you shouldn't be afraid to face essentially a second-string Australian bowling attack, as good as they may be.

Ramesh has not been picked too:(
That's a horrible move by India. The only batsman (aside from Sachin) who, from all reports, was sure of himself and looked to be coping comfortable with the Australian conditions and then you drop him.

Yes, Chopra may have done well in his last couple of Tests, but those were different conditions and, no offence to NZ, a different quality of opposition. This is Australia! India need all the help they can get.

Strike 1...

0.1 Khan to Langer, bye: FOUR, down leg side and all the way to the fine leg boundary
0.2 Khan to Langer, no run, down leg side again and well taken by the keeper

Hmm....

How good (or bad) a decision was it when Langer was caught off a no-ball?

Cricinfo commentary man, he say nooooooooo! (actually, he said it was a little harsh)
