About these ferrets.. I've not known Zaheer Khan to be that bad. He's hit some very quick 20/30s before.
Quite funny when he hit Bracken back over his head for six

Nehra got a bad decision :D
No he didnt.

Low full toss , he didnt play a shot & was only half forward , hit him in line with middle , would have taken leg , Nehra didnt take it to well though.

:( :(
As I write AA strikes , Langer caught on the crease & he edges behind.

The one, the only, Ajit Bhalchandra Agarkar.

Legend in his lifetime.

Will the Aussies blow it? How funny would that be?

Nope.

General consensus re yesterday's hysteria from the commentary team is that Sachin's was the only decision which was by all accounts 'wrong' - marginal decisions either way all went in the favour of the batsman - as they should do.

It was interesting that they showed Sachin again - and the ball most definitely hit him on the front pad first and deflected on to his back leg (doesn't make the decision any 'less' wrong, but it cuts the down the time the umpire has to make his eye adjustment from judging the no-ball call to adjudging lbw to about a quarter of a second.

Now those of you calling for Bucknor's head over a single erroneous decision think again. If you still say that he should be sacked, then I don't think that you are misguided any more - I KNOW!

I was at the ground for days 2 and 4 of this test. Ganguly and Laxman played brilliant innings and I enjoyed them very much. Laxman in particular was excellent. He only played one false shot but it was a good ball from MacGill that jumped a bit more. Ganguly rode his luck but deserved his outcome. I thought that he should have acknowledged the Swarmi army as well who cheered for him all day.

Dravid still has some demons to knock over but I'm sure that he will. Enough has been said about the Tendulkar decision.

The Australian bowling lacked the fire and passion that it usually has. They could have done with Williams there. Bichel was awful and Bracken tired late in the day. Gillespie was the best by far.

The Aussie batting in the 1st innings lacked concentration. It was a tough pitch and the Indians bowled well in the end but some shots were pretty ordinary.

I was sitting in the area between the Indian and Australian fans and enjoyed the banter. The Indians were loud but very hard to understand. The Aussies improved from Sachin takes it up the ... on Friday to your going home on the back of an elephant on Sunday. My favourite though was when AA came out to bat and instead of the handclaps as the bowler came in. The crowd yelled quack quack quack while the bowler came in. AA's first single brought a great cheer and he raised the bat to acknowledge his fans. All good fun.

CDAK, nice to c u r with me. welcome to the board :) also in which part of india u live ?

i was the only one before the match to say that india will win this one. at the end of the 1st day i said that aus will be all out for less than 400 and at the end of 3rd day, i said that india will take a 1st innings lead and not only this, i also said that only rain can save aus and its only my predictions which r coming true.

it is beyond understanding that y r so many indian fans going pessimistic. guys, it is that v r playing against aus and v need optimism. best of all, this time india have performed beyond even the most optimistic expectations in this test. it is time v supported the indian team with a big hope to win.

also, india r the overwhelming favs for this series, atleast according to me
Good morning amit (and all,)
Now only I read ur message.Right now I'm from IIT KGP(bengal) and basically from Kerala. Ur comments always stand unique, because nobodyelse can support India like what u do. U r a super spirited Indian cricket fan like those in Eden Gardens. But sometimes I feel that it'd be better if u consider our team's lack of ability to dominate others consistently. We will do it only when other don't expect us to do so, like what's happening now. it is so unpredictable our team,..but not fans..we are always optimistic.
Amit, go ahead,..i'm with u.

Hey Arognaut , you must have really enjoyed the game . The crowd shouted quack quack ? , no wonder he acknowledged them after scoring the run.

Ajit and Zaheer have both bowled a brilliant opening spell and troubled Hayden and Ponting a lot. It's great news for Indians that they are starting to bowl well again .

What happened to all the wild claims ?

Amits -- India will roll Australia
iamdavid -- "Anything u can do, we can do better" in response to Australia getting bowled out for 323.

Neil Pickup and others declaring what a thrashing India would get
based on their form in the leadup matches.

common 'Steveda'

From the way it goes, I feel Steve may try to get some result (as he always does),even in this certain-draw stage of the game. But one thing I can say,if India was in the same state, they won't have tried to get result, instead they would have batted in the full day ensuring some of their players are enhancing their century tally!!! Let's see, how he thinks in his last series.

i feel like :lol:ing at iamdavids comments.

ind bowled out aus for 323 whereas aus bowled out ind for hold ur breath - 409

my comments have been more realistic than iamdavid's.

and yes, india will roll aus over in the next 3 tests. it will be a 3-0 or a 2-1 win to india.

amit,
u are seen very harsh on patel and asking more for Ratra. Did u forget that Ratra had/has poor keeping skills than Patels?

It's amazing that no one remembered the best wicket keeper batsman India had/had now...Nayan Mongia. The one and only prblm with him is/was he never dives for a catch and always expect the first slip to do the job for him. barring this, he can be both attcking and defensive to any sort of bowling.(he had scored a 150 against aus in delhi 4 yrs back).
But, he is a real victim of favourism. He was accused of having ill-character and making groups in team(just gossip). So, Captain doesn't like him. That's y he is not in the team.
Y should India train somebody(more clearly, Parthiv) by giving chance in the national team while others are waiting for chances with proven talent?Give patel chance to play in the state games and get matured, but not in the National team...
..bring back Nayan Mongia

yes, the indian team is very unpredictable. when india is expected to do well (nz's tour to india for instance), india throws 1 of its most poor performances and when it is expected that india will be crushed (ind's tour to aus and the wc for instance), india performs very well. in this aus tour, india have performed even beyond the most optimistic expectations.

and yes, i support india in a very different way. c my sig :)

Oh dear Amits, this is quite bad, what do YOU have to say?
That was possibly the worst shot I have ever seen.

As I say that Bracken is on a hat-trick.
