youll love this Hogan tweet: https://twitter.com/Jesse_Hogan/status/693740860433797120I didn't watch the game but I'm absolutely stoked Watson did so well in his rightful position of opener (and captain ). It should cement his spot in the squad at least but he really is so much better as an opener in limited overs cricket than he is anywhere else, so here's to Finch retiring or something.
Especially with the squad they just selected.T20s can be a great leveller. While WI are currently dismal in tests, average in ODIs, they have every chance of winning the World T20 in a few months.
Haha ya specially for the World T20 which will be played in India you can now arguably say that Watson is their best opener and it's upto Warner and Finch to fight for the other spot somehowI didn't watch the game but I'm absolutely stoked Watson did so well in his rightful position of opener (and captain ). Yeah, I think at this point I'd probably bat Finch at 3.Haha ya specially for the World T20 which will be played in India you can now arguably say that Watson is their best opener and it's upto Warner and Finch to fight for the other spot somehow
Khawaja at 3 makes sense too, thereby dropping FinchYeah, I think at this point I'd probably bat Finch at 3.
Arguably, they have the best, certainly most dangerous looking side T20 squad. They have very dangerous spinners to aid their absolute destructive batting lineup. They have every chance.Especially with the squad they just selected.
Their batsmen in that match other than Watson (and in the absence of Smith) aren't good against Ashwin-Jadeja.How did the Aussies lose the second match? At one point they were coasting to victory.
It's shameful that wasn't their Test squad.Arguably, they have the best, certainly most dangerous looking side T20 squad. They have very dangerous spinners to aid their absolute destructive batting lineup. They have every chance.
Darren Sammy (capt), Samuel Badree, Sulieman Benn, Darren Bravo, Dwayne Bravo, Andre Fletcher, Chris Gayle, Jason Holder, Sunil Narine, Kieron Pollard, Denesh Ramdin, Andre Russell, Marlon Samuels, Lendl Simmons, Jerome Taylor.
I tend toward the pessimistic when it comes to Australia in T20, but a top 8 of:
Warner, Finch, Khawaja, Watson, Smith, Lynn, Maxwell, Wade, Faulkner
would be hard to beat
