Those two Tests were pretty solid performances in context too.Not disputing Kohli the superior performer but Smith's also only played 2 Tests in India. That average of 40 is pretty unlikely to stay put.

Well, that is kind of the point. Let Smith play out a few more and then we can judge him. At the moment, his stats are extremely skewed - he is rather a home bully with a home average of 67 in tests and a away from home average of 41. That needs to first get evened out.Not disputing Kohli the superior performer but Smith's also only played 2 Tests in India. That average of 40 is pretty unlikely to stay put.
Lo and behold, the forum elder has spoken :P Good to see you again after a long while. It's also worth putting out there now for the noobs that Senile Sentry is a reknowned troll, so when arguing with him please tread carefully and don't turn the thread to ****.
LOL this is statsguru mining of the worst kind. He's performed superbly away from home in the last 2 years. No way is he even close to an htbWell, that is kind of the point. I mean, leaving aside the fact his record is actually 50+ away from home, no, you don't get to say on one hand 'we can't judge' then call him a home-track bully. That's judgement. And, I might add, absolutely without basis.Well, that is kind of the point. Let Smith play out a few more and then we can judge him. Yup its 51. Its 43 for Virat so yeah Senile was pulling those stats from his assi think tpc might average over 50 overseas iirc tbh

And Maxwell's not too bad either.Kohli and Maxwell's riveting chat | cricket.com.au
Ffs, I think I'm starting to like Kohli.
Not good.
Don't think there is much of a comparison in any format atm tbh. Kohli is way better in short forms while Smith is comfortably ahead in testsOh great Smith vs Kohli
About time too tbf. Tendulkar-Ponting narrative is so passe. Those topics are dead now.
Can we please have a Smith vs Kohli comparison topic as a no holds barred licensed whorehouse?
