The Europa League Final is in a stadium that holds 35,000 with each team getting 10,000 tickets. Presumably they were anticipating a final between Balzan and Shamrock Rovers.

Anyone following the Optus pricing debacle re: Prem broadcast rights? If you aren't an Optus post-paid mobile or Internet customer you're ****ed, if you wanna watch it on a TV you're paying over $2k over two years. Next season is gonna be rough on most of us fans. Not really looking forward to dodgy streams every weekend.

Foxtel has announced a deal with six EPL clubs that will mean they can show the matches of Manchester United, Liverpool, Chelsea, Arsenal, Manchester City and Tottenham 13 hours after they happen starting next season.

from here

edit: It will also have additional programming from Arsenal's, Manchester City's and Tottenham's in-house channels.

But Spurs and Liverpool have this complex that they should be getting CL places, and the Europa is below them.

For a team like West Ham, they shouldn't be getting relegated, but a poor season and they might well end up doing so (first season with the new manager too). Protecting PL money is more important than a bit of glory sadly.

The only teams who I dare say would take a Europa campaign seriously (ie, not bothered about top 4/relegation over it) are your Stokes and Evertons
Awesome level of insight in the first two lines....

Yeah deffo wanna watch games 13 hours after the result. Also, don't just care about those teams games.

Emre was so good.
He's a beast man, he's vital for us now. Just wish we had Origi and Sakho too.

I think we're doing really well and will hopefully win the EL. Klopp has really turned this team around, what a manager.

Since we're doing some digging I seem to recall you saying Klopp is overrated and Liverpool needed to stick with Rodgers...?

I think I was pretty supportive of Rodgers but enough to say Klopp was overrated? I don't have the best of memories but I'd be surprised if I said that.

In general though, I think most of the time management gets a bit overrated in its influence - as I think a manager can only do so much - but some influence more than others at certain times I guess.

Actually did some digging; I guess I did kind of doubt him.

Pretty simple: if we get rid of Rodgers I want the best manager available. I think that's Rafa. I'm sure a large segment of Liverpool fans agree. TBH, think you're overrating Klopp. He might take over and be a success or he could be a dud. I also don't think his kind of football is good for any long-term or sustained success, it requires too much physically from his players.
Gotta admit, at the time I was wanting Rafa and there was also arguments about Klopp's regimen on players considering how many Dortmund players ended up getting injured.

So, will hold my hand up on that one. If anything, they look fresh and firing every time they play. He's also taken care when bringing back players as well.

Press in Liverpool seem to have Rangers signing Jordan Rossiter from Liverpool.

Which seems like a tremendous move if true.

Stuff Middlesbrough. No time for promotion parties after we screwed up our season. Still never mind, Pep might have Thursday's to look forward to next season.
