BARNES OUT
I love that the first thing the commentators said about him when he came on the field was that it was good news for fans of the England national side. How do these people have jobs watching games of football?

So beat West Ham and Bournemouth and we're in the CL next season. Bittersweet because it means we're likely stuck with LVG for another long, painful season. But I do love the idea of Pep in the Europa.

The bloke has played well for England when he's played recently, I'm perfectly benign about him being in the squad. Same with Andros Townsend (I'd certainly have him over Sterling or Walcott), if you perform Internationally you should be considered.

Oh and if LVG stays, does this mean we have to put up with another 6 months of ****ing Jose planted articles in the Press being treated as gospel?

Well done Grimsby. This means I don't need to look up Braintree on a map.
Hopefully Grimsby do the business next week. My reasons are:

1. I see them as more of a threat next season
2. They play decent football (relatively) whereas FGR are a bunch of thugs
3. I can't stomach FGR being in the league when we're not. Bad enough that Burton, Fleetwood, Crawley etc are. And burton are in the championship now!

It has understandably rather been lost with everything else going on but this is another really impressive season from Southampton.

Yeah, they're great.

Just seen a stat saying Spurs have dropped the most points from winning positions in the league this season. One more than Liverpool and two more than Everton, which seems weird.

Edit: Though I guess it goes back to what we were talking about after the West Brom game.

Nothing particularly, just sprinted around mistiming challenges and somehow losing the ball in promising situations.
Just confirmation bias from you though isn't it? between you and what they said on MOTD2 probably the truth.

Yea would much rather have Townsend in the squad than Walcott, Ox or Wilshere. They've done absolutely nothing for England other than the odd flash. Townsend has always performed well for England.
