*Official* English Football Season 2015-16

Giroud cost £8.4m. He was 25 coming off a season of 21 goals in 3205 minutes, and has basically maintained that rate while at Arsenal. Benteke is 24 and is coming off a season of 13 goals in 2380 minutes. He might be slightly better, and the transfer might work out, but to me it smacks of overpaying for a PL proven player who has excelled as the focal point (the side basically playing the way they'll best utilise him) at a mid table club, which is what Liverpool have specialised in over the last 6/7 years and have hardly had great success doing.
That there's better value to be had from abroad is hardly news. But the Premier League can be a tough league for foreign players to settle into, Liverpool are getting a player who shouldn't have any language or cultural problems settling in given he's been here for 3 (?) years already.

It worked OK for Ferguson, young players like Anderson and Nani aside (look how they worked out) he basically avoided signing from abroad for big money for the last 10 years of his United career.

I cancelled my subscription yesterday when the price went up.
I get it free with my Virgin media package though I assume that doesn't include the champions league coverage, which they've launched a new channel for

Certainly won't be paying for that

Guess you'll just have to stream the big game

BT Sport. Sure it was an additional payment when I got it last year. Might have been different if you had a Virgin package pre BT introduction though.
Think it depends on the size of the package (trademark Volty :naughty:), we got it for free with the L TV deal IIRC.

When I had it (admittedly about 2 years ago now) I didn't have the sports channels, but did have BT Sport....

I get my BT Sport through my Sky HD box. It cost £16.50 rising to £19.99 next month. I might re-subscribe when the Champions League knock out stages come around.
