Norwood's on Fire
Why would you brag about signing anyone who wasn't James Norwood

Prem fans are a bit like how you picture Cameron, Boris and co at their parties in their younger days. Oh look at me and all my money blablabla. It was only £11million but small change to me pfffft!

There seems to be at least some sort of actual substance to the Ramos to United rumours. Would be crazy if it goes through. Still doubt it will though. Reminds me a bit of some of the Rooney transfer requests.

Small change if he helps bring Arsenal more than that in commercial revenue and prize money.
Doesn't exactly dispel my point now does it :p

Edit - btw you know I'm joking right? I might the exact same point you just did the other day

Is it just me or has there been a massive change of public opinion on Cech? Seemed to me about a year ago that it was pretty much agreed he hadn't been great since his injury, which was an opinion I went along with (I thought he was overrated even before the injury). Now looks like I'm in a minority of one.

I remember cpr having a rant about him not being much good, but that's about it. I thought the consensus was that he never reached pre injury heights but was still a quality keeper. I mean, if Courtois hadn't come good no one at Chelsea would've been calling for his replacement. So he must at least have been considered adequate for a title challenger.

My thoughts are that post injury Cech is considerably worse than pre injury Cech, but that post injury Cech is still considerably better than your average keeper.

Yeah, like I said a few weeks ago when the rumours started, I don't think he's Neuer or even Courtois good, and is probably getting worse. But he's still better than anything Arsenal currently have.

Was the most influential player in their Champions League win though. Not many people can say that.

cabinet hitting the nail on the rather padded head there, he's better than the Arsenal keeping merry go round.

Still, nowhere near what he was, and I stand by my original assertion that the injuries taken away the bravery needed that separates a good shot stopper from a great keeper.

There is no team that Cech doesn't make better, whether that's by starting, or as the best back-up you can have.

Happy that we signed Clyne. :)

James Norwood? good luck. One day he'll be able to play as remotely as well as he thinks he can, then someone will have a great player.

Yes, reading Chelsea forums almost all of them seem to think he's still a top keeper. Good enough for me.

Oh balls he played for you lot?

His record in the conference is pretty good for Forest Green though.

Maybe not for a sustained period but in the year they won the CL (Europa too) he was amazing and was a major of the reason they got their in the end. I remember he had some amazing saves/performances in the knock-outs.

Haha bragging about signing players is such an Arsenal fan thing. Everyone else either brags about trophies or doesn't brag at all.
I reckon it's a new thing among fans of this social-media generation that want to comment on everything - for or against. Last year United fans were celebrating the signings of Di Maria and Falcao because it was their way of countering other fans basically claiming: "we still got these great players and we're not in the CL".

Only Courtois and De Gea better than him in my opinion and De Gea looks like he is leaving anyway. Great signing for Arsenal.

Not many games, but he was here for a bit. A confident young man, it should be said, guess that's a bit of a euphemism, Hey he may have changed since it was awhile ago. Though I heard he had some fallings out at FGR. Exciting looking player though, remember his debut at Leeds and wew wer a bit excited, but seemed to go to his head.

Hart is better IMO. Has some moments but single-handedly saved games for us all of last season while Kompany was tweeting midfield or some **** iunno.
Well the fact that Hart played for my team and I saw his football league debut and I rate Cech higher says a lot about how highly I still regard Cech. I can accept someone saying Hart is better though but no other keeper in the prem.

I'd say Lloris would be better for some teams, didn't have a great season though. I'd tend to agree that Hart is better too, but it's close. Really at that point we're just guessing because Cech has barely played in the past year. But it definitely seems like a good signing.
