Quite funny to hear Cech saying he joined Arsenal because he wants to continue to win trophies. The only two they have a hope in hell of winning he probably won't play in.

Norwood's on Fire
Not many games, but he was here for a bit. A confident young man, it should be said, guess that's a bit of a euphemism, Hey he may have changed since it was awhile ago. Though I heard he had some fallings out at FGR. Exciting looking player though, remember his debut at Leeds and wew wer a bit excited, but seemed to go to his head.
He does seem confident - in interviews and also I met him at the weekend - but we need that after having nothing but sulking losers for two years

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I've read that Rodgers is the 2nd longest serving EPL manager now (after Wenger). this league is ****ed up.

Sounds about right, he beats Howe by a few months.

Howe and Mourinho have both spent longer in charge of their clubs but are in their second spells. Can't think of anyone else.

That'll look good on the Pearson family Christmas mailing list. 'Nigel got fired because Johnny filmed himself in a racist Thai orgy.'

Falcao done for Chelsea. Not been the same player but even if he becomes half that player he'll be a great signing for them.

Liverpool also have Clyne done; really happy with that. Very reasonable fee.

King Pietersen

International Captain
Replacing Glen Johnson with Nathaniel Clyne is a superb move for Liverpool. They're doing good business so far this summer! Apparently Benteke is close too, and could be confirmed soon.

Think it's TS pushing the Benteke story tbh. We're not paying 32.5mil and Villa aren't budging.

He's reportedly the #1 target and I think if push comes to shove we'll pay it. However, our leverage is time. The later we meet that buy-out clause the less time Villa have to find a replacement. I think there'll be a compromise.

Konstantin Kerschbaumer, easily has the best name of the players we have bought so far this summer.

Part of me thinks that if it was really as good a deal as it seems it wouldn't be happening. But **** me it seems like an incredible signing.

Yeah, one has to wonder why one of the slightly more glamorous midtable sides (i.e. Liverpool) didn't make a move for him. Perhaps he's a massive injury waiting to happen or something. In any event, it certainly prima facie appears to be an incredible deal for Stoke.

Wonder why Inter were keen to get rid.
