Injuries are going to be crucial and they need to be lucky in that regard but if they are and it is a big 'if' then I think they have a good a chance as anyone else. Chelsea have been regarded as the favourites but we have seen over the last couple of weeks they are far from prefect, they have been relying on Drogba a lot this season and if he gets injured or has a bad change of attitude they could be in a spot of trouble. They will of course be without him for a while in January. Man utd are also clearly weaker this season although part of me feels that they will always come out on top. There can be little doubt though that the top 4 are weaker this season and less points are going to be needed to be champions, I feel that this brings Arsenal right into contention.Much as I would really love it if they did (obviously), I just can't see it happening. I think unfortunately the squad is just a bit too thin, and the defence is just a bit too leaky. A big injury to one of Van Persie, Fabregas, Arshavin or Gallas could potentially ruin the team. We all know that Van Persie is prone to injury, Gallas is on the treatment table a fair bit as well, and the amount of work Fabregas and Arshavin put in every match means that unless they can be rotated a bit means that they will in all probabilty pick up a few long the line as well. But, if they can all be available for 85% plus of the matches this season, then I would say they have a reasonable chance, would probably be Wenger's greatest achievement if he could really pull it out of the bag.
Being Scottish.At what?
Arsenal will not win the league. Between Man Utd and Chelsea for the title. Arsenal nowhere in contention no matter the flaws of the other two teams.Injuries are going to be crucial and they need to be lucky in that regard but if they are and it is a big 'if' then I think they have a good a chance as anyone else. Piss funny though.Ex-ref in today's paper reckons it shouldn't have stood. An outside agent has interferred with play; no goal and play restarts with a drop ball.
Ordered an Arshavin blue away jersey last week
Oh dear, oh dear...Does anyone rememver during the Arsenal game when Van Persie had a free kick (but it wasn't a penalty) inside the box?. If yes, how was that possible?.
