Haha that was horrific defending. Di Santo is such a gun (although anyone could have put that in). Really hope Chelsea don't want him in January.

Suspect that will depend on the outcome of their appeal.

If not then they've a month of Anelka & Sturridge so will probably want him.

Yeah you're likely right. Never would have thought I'd be barracking to see Chelsea getting a transfer ban overturned. We can really use a classy target man as our second option is Jason "you call that the broad side of the barn" Roberts.

Scrappy second half and a real scare at the end, but we did what we had to and got the result we needed. No complaints here.

MoM Dunny. WAG!

BARNES OUT
We never beat Wigan, knew I should've gone with my head and not with my heart in the tipping comp. Were comfortably second best in that one, lucky to take the point.

I know I've bleated on about this a lot in the recent past but **** me we need a new right back if we're serious about getting to the top of club football. Richards is just a joke at the moment, not sure if he actually has a brain in his skull or what (though I must say he was pretty decent at centre-half today, but as soon as he was moved Roddallega made him look like a child), and Zabaleta is a whole-hearted player but he just doesn't have it in him for the highest level. He's slow, short and lunges into the tackle way way too much (2-0 up against Liverpool last season, anyone?).

Should be faxing a blank cheque Inter's way tbh.

Wigan played the better football but Man City should have got a penalty which they didn't. In the end, it was a very good game of football.

Norwood's on Fire
I thought Citeh played the better football,. at least when it was eleven each. There was a period in the first half were Wigan didn't seem to get in Citeh's half.

Yeah but they did not create any clear chances in the half, do not even remember one shot on goal. Did not see the second half as was watching the F1. Have a soft spot for Wigan though and they should avoid relegation fairly easily.

I hope they do, just because I like Roberto Martinez and don't want to see him get sacked. Same can be said about West Ham and Zola actually, he is a great lad and I really want to see him do well, but West Ham are in a bad situation at the moment. Hope they turn things around, but another loss next weekend would be nice.

Yeah I hope they are patient with Zola, he deserves it after how well he did last season. Would expect another defeat next week though, really think Arsenal might win the league this season. Would be great if they did.

Much as I would really love it if they did (obviously), I just can't see it happening. I think unfortunately the squad is just a bit too thin, and the defence is just a bit too leaky. A big injury to one of Van Persie, Fabregas, Arshavin or Gallas could potentially ruin the team. We all know that Van Persie is prone to injury, Gallas is on the treatment table a fair bit as well, and the amount of work Fabregas and Arshavin put in every match means that unless they can be rotated a bit means that they will in all probabilty pick up a few long the line as well. But, if they can all be available for 85% plus of the matches this season, then I would say they have a reasonable chance, would probably be Wenger's greatest achievement if he could really pull it out of the bag.
