So when are you going to provide relevant stats about today's game then? But if I am going to analyse a game, aside from my subjective analysis I am going to weigh in the relevant stats.

Tbh Arsenal's Premiership winning sides were assembled on less than Liverpool have spent over the last few years, on fractions of what Liverpool have spent in fact, at a time where Man Utd were spending a hell of a lot more. So yes, poor old Liverpool, not got the cash to compete at the top, get the violins out.
The 2002-2004 era was one of the best for that.Liverpool have spent £415m in the Premier League years. Their problem has been constant purchasing of foreign crap.
He was probably thinking, "why is that Houllier chap buying such rubbish players? Ah well, I'm the Valencia manager," tbhThe 2002-2004 era was one of the best for that.
Florent Sinama Pongolle? Igor Biscan? Anthony Le Tallec? What were you thinking Rafa?
Haha indeed.IF YOU DON'T ARGUE WITH HIM HE CAN'T RUIN THE THREAD

Ex-ref in today's paper reckons it shouldn't have stood. An outside agent has interferred with play; no goal and play restarts with a drop ball.Someone in this thread can probably help me with this, shouldn't the Sunderland goal have been disallowed? Not arguing that the goal was unfair for Liverpool (I think it's hilarious), purely asking out of curiosity.
You raise a very valid point. He was probably thinking, "why is that Houllier chap buying such rubbish players? Ah well, I'm the Valencia manager," tbh

I always thought it would just be like if the ball hit the ref and went in, I'm not a qualified ref though obvAbsolutely no doubt that it should never have stood, by the way. Any outside interference with the play should immediately lead to a drop ball, and this is pretty major outside interference. I've disallowed goals in U11 matches cause someone's four year old brother ran across the penalty area across the keeper at the point a shot was taken... and if I knew that rule age 17 then Prem refs really ought to. Doesn't stop it being any less hilarious, however.
