Claude Makelele has left Chelsea for PSG. Makelele will link up with fellow French has-been Lillian Thuram.

Also, Blackburn have recruited Chilean ‘superstar’ Carlos Villanueva (who?). Supposedly, Rovers wanted Birmingham’s Argentinean loaner, Mauro Zarate but he turned ‘us’ down for Lazio and instead his agent gave us Villanueva - who suspiciously was touted around every club in Spain and got no takers.
Really? I thought his career was pretty much over after the doctors found there to be a heart problem. Ludovic Guily has signed for PSG, does he now count?

Actually I agree with Ferguson, Spurs have based their entire allegation on an article in The Sun, which is not the most trustworthy of papers.
Tottenham have submitted a year's worth of evidence apparently, not a years worth of that article.

Portsmouth's Sulley Muntari is set to move back to Serie A with Inter due to announce him as their second major signing of the season for around £12m according to reports in Italy. Tottenham are apparently willing to sell Dimitar Berbatov to either Barcelona or AC Milan for £25m just to get one back on Manchester United.

Interesting news really, as although I rate him quite highly, I'm not sure if he's really got the ability to play at the absolute top level, but hey, he's always done well whenever I've seen him so you never know.

Yeah, to be honest, as highly as I rate him, I feel a move to Inter might be a step too high, too fast. It'd be a shame if his potential went to waste by sitting on the bench for a year or two.

Not really, all four will without doubt boost Sunderland's squad.

Transfer prices seem fairly irrelevant these days anyway. Clubs are just wallowing in debt, what is an extra £10m going to do?

In today's modern, inflated prices that isn't that much.
Yeah, it is.

4mil for Chimbonda isn't a lot. Back in the day he'd have gone for 1mil, possibly, maybe. But he's not Scandinavian, so wouldn't have been playing in the first 4 years of the Premiership anyway.
