*Official* English Football Season 2008-2009

People may be laughing at Grant but he has a better record %-wise than any Chelsea coach since Abramovich came in. He's nowhere near as bad as people seem to think, wouldn't mind him at Citeh at all.
Yeah I don't actually think he's a bad manager at all, but if they re-appoint him less than nine months after sacking him, it's ridiculous.

To nitpick, Sky were claiming that Mourinho had a better win % than Grant, though only by a couple of %.

Damnnnnnn, the BPL may be the excting league in the world. But the club owners & executives are the most idiotic. Where has all this impatience suddenly come from??

When United where struggling at the start of 2000s era. SAF wasn't axed. These people oughta chill..

You mean when we were winning the Premiership in 2000, 2001 and 2003? :p

Yeah, the reason I say they'd be a joke is for doing such a u-turn. I didn't think they should have sacked him, they were double runners-up to a bloody good United side last year.

Yea well more so between 2003/04 - 2005/06. My bad...
Yeah I knew what you meant, just being a smart-arse.

To be honest though, this is where perspective comes in, along with the realisation of how spoilt United fans have been. In those three “dark years” of 04-05-06 United won an FA Cup, a League Cup, reached another FA Cup final (somehow losing on penalties after utterly dominating) and were never outside the top 3 in the League. There are a lot of clubs for whom that would be the greatest three year period in their history. The fact that some United fans though the world was falling apart shows just how lucky we’ve been over the past two decades.

Seems that it was Steve Clarke who did most everything when Grant was in charge.
Yeah they're pretty keen on this theory at F365. Clarke left Chelsea in October for West Ham, and suddenly Chelsea looked dodgy at the back and West Ham looked incredibly solid.

Shows just how big a bunch of muppets some of our fans are.

The fact is we've not had a dissapointing season since the late 80's. Reckon FA Cup round 3 1990 was the turning point, whinging about anything since then is just not having a clue.

F365 is saying Hiddinnk is going to be named interim coach till end of season.
Would be a great appointment, would do a fine job both in the short which it would seems to be and long term. There must be some conern over the fact he wants to stay as Russia coach but he held the PSV and Australia jobs siumltaneously so shouldn't be a big issue,
Problem is, what is Chelsea's level of expectation? The money seems to have dried up but they put amazingly high levels of expectations on Grant (who I think they were determined to sack anyway) and Scolari. Unless the mony returns or the expectations changes then this regular hiring and firing of managers is going to continue is going to keep happening.

What do the Metropolitan Police, a girl with an itchy front bottom & Chelsea have in common?

- They all regret going for a Brazilian now.

Hahaha, good but it would be funnier if the Metropolitan police incident was a bit more topical.

If you get a chance, make sure you get to see Robinho's goal against Italy, defender (not sure who it was?) had nothing.
