When on Sat? (for Setantaing)

Currently Mansfield have 7, surely you've got more? :p
It's a 3pm kick-off mate, get yourself down the boozer and watch us turn the bastards over

Yes I do believe we have more than seven players mind you. But we have got rid of/lost our right-back, left-winger, two centre mids, a centre-back who can also play left-back or midfield and another youngster who can play right or left flank. We have replaced them with a midfielder. 8-)

So...you telling me what some guy on the internet told you, that doesnt sound particularly credible to me.
Not just some guy. The objective source is Bobby McMahon. He writes for foxsoccer.com and appears on a football show twice every week. He knows his stuff. From Scotland despite living in Canada. Don't agree with everything he says mind, but he's got facts.

Source discredited due to old theories about strange people up north.

Whites signed a winger today, Gambian international, now it's official, the whites are going up

It's pretty bloody difficult to tear up the Conference. If you hang on to Boulding you have a great chance, but there is a comparative lot of money in a lot of ambitious/ex-league clubs (Stevenage, Torquay, Rushden, Kidderminster, Ebbsfleet, York, Burton, Cambridge [unless they go **** up], Oxford...) plus yourselves and Wrexham: that's half the division, and with just two places to fight for, you might well end up in for the long haul.

Surprised he hasn't already been snapped up by Redknapp, if he's an international for an African team, you can bet 'Arry's got eyes on him.

Speaking of 'Arry, £11million for Crouch - he better score some goals. So far we've spent a lot of money on one fairly unreliable striker, picked up a totally unproven youngster on loan, and snapped up a journeyman winger on a free transfer; that Pablo Aimar rumour had better be true.

Boulding brothers and Jelleyman are gone. Doing a huge overhaul on the squad.

You can have Dejan Stankovic for £7m.

Well, for £11million, you want guaranteed goals. Crouch is a good player, but I wouldn't say I'm as confident he'll get us 15 goals this season as I am with Defoe, and we paid a whole lot less for him.

As for Craigos' suggestion of Dejan Stankovic, I'd take that in a heartbeat. Won't happen, though.

Crouch & Defoie is a good partnership, potentially though. I personally don't think you buy Crouch for the goals, he has a tremendous workrate and causes defenders no end of problems. He was maybe slightly punching above his weight with Liverpool, but will do really well at Pompey I reckon.

Yeah, I guess you're right actually. With us never having spent close to £11million on a player before it's a lot to get used to, I keep thinking of it in terms of concrete returns. I guess the extra goals Defoe might get from the partnership with Crouch is a potential asset, the two should make a good double act.

Must keep thinking optimistically, must keep thinking optimistically...

Although i don't rate Defoe at all, it would be good to see an English strike partnership doing well in the Prem.

I agree actually, I'm far from Crouch's biggest fan but IMO he's a good buy for Portsmouth, while he's not England (or Liverpool) class IMO he'll do for them, plus he is the perfect match for Defoe in a striking partnership. Incidentally IIRC Beevs is a big fan of Crouch.

In other news, Sepp Blatter reinforces his status as "large tosser".
