Mighty mighty Tranmere consolidated second place last night with a 1-0 win over Brizzle City that didn't even tell half the story. We are playing the best football we've played since John King was manager and we had Morrisey, Nevin and Aldridge playing for us. It's no coincidence that Ronnie Moore, who was assistant then, is the boss now.

We could even go top today if Forest get their asses handed to them!

It's interesting you think you're playing the best football for a time, a tranmere fan at work said the football you'd played this season has been awful, obviously that was before last night.

Admittedly I've not been away yet. Which is shameful, as I normally wouldn't have missed a game at this point. But at home, I've really enjoyed watching us. Under Brian Little it was like going to visit relatives, you had to do it but were bored out of your mind. Did the fan you spoke to not see a lot of the Little era? It's so much better than that, I'm shocked that anyone could think otherwise.

Meanwhile Liverpool have had the green light for the their new stadium, isn't Everton trying to do the same thing? While Blackburn who are in the habit of random signings have picked up Stephane Henchoz on a free transfer after he was let go by Wigan.
