Been watching some old football footage on you tube.

With Apologies to Brumby
Looks like that was the old plastic pitch. Bah. Humbug. :p

Did I see a relatively swelte Ian Marshall playing for Oldham there too? Became a bit of a cult hero at Ipswich for his mullet & his cavalier attitude to fitness.

I really should've known that actually. I think Waddle played for Wednesday in the two cup finals v us that year.
Waddle scored in the FA Cup replay. :p
Poor Sheff Wed. Are Middlesborough the only other team to lose 2 cup finals in one year?

Charlton go down again. P45 for Mr Reed shortly one fancies.
Reed out, Pardew in according to the BBC site's breaking news. Not 27 hours after I posted that Nostradamos-like prediction.

Oh, & merry Xmas Leslie! :p

What does that have to do with anything? 8-)

a) Evra has surprised many people this season.
b) I said that our depth is pretty shabby anyway.
I'm thinking that means Evra wasn't impressive when he first came to England but now he's playing well so Boulahrouz should be given the benefit of the doubt. Oh and I already disouted that squad depth argument earlier if you're referring to Man Utd and Chelsea.

hardly conclusive though was it? Regardless of what you say, Chelseas depth is far superior to anyone elses in the premiership, including man utd.

no sympathy for Reed, he was heavily involved in getting rid of Dowie tbh. Hope Charlton go down, used to like them

Well not in the striking role, outside of Drogba and Shevchenko who else is there? Technically Crespo but after bad mouthing the club I think there is more chance of it snowing tomorrow then he will play for them again.

I suppose goalkeeping is bit touch-and-go for mine, but they can always sign Buffon on loan if they really wanted to.

He came in and was shocking last season...

Players can take time to settle in.
That's got nothing to do with the present - which is my point.

Boularouz may well improve, but he shouldn't be playing currently if he's going to take time to settle in.

Chelsea may have a lot of depth elsewhere, but take Terry out and their defence is very shaky.

Damn Chelsea just keep scoring so bloody late, haha. This is going to be a top finish to the season. United playing out their skins, Chelsea playing decent enough to stay on United's back, while the Gunners & the reds gradually are getting their A-Game together.

The Premiership rocks..

Erm, yes.
That's a subjective opinion if you look at the minutes played and form of every player in each team's first team squad. You'll see that there's not much between them. Diarra, Ferreira and SWP have not played well while apart from O'Shea, Richardson
and possibly Brown everyone on Man Ut'd bench has played well. Fletcher, Solskjaer and Evra have done well. Robben wasn't too hot until against Wigan and Boulahrouz has been horrible. Kalou has done well though.
