3-0 to the good guys @ New Highbury! :D

Two pens as well, that'll be good for a whinge from The Spuds.
My Spurs housemate is livid, and it's hilarious. His blinkeredness is amusing - he'll be totally up in arms about this, but he's still in complete denial about the Zokora incident when we played them.

Oh, where they pens, I just woke up.

Still remarkably, the 3-0, 1-1 thing is still going.

Two bones to pick:

1 - How was the 2nd penalty a penalty? Looked pretty soft for mine.

2 - Why did Wenger bring on Walcott in the 87th minute? Wouldn't it be more logical to give him more time around the 70 minute mark where he would actually gain something more then a few minutes left on the pitch? He looked ok when he was on, but it quicken his development if he was given some more time to actually do something.

Fair call.

Given that we murdered them for large periods, although it was a dive, we deserved to win so I don't really care.

EDIT: I take that back, Ronaldo didn't actually dive, he over-balanced when his left foot hit the floor - Goals on Sunday did some close-up replays, further backed up by the fact that he didn't appeal when he went down.

He got just about as much of the ball as it was possible to get, the 3rd was handball in the buildup and the 1st looked offside, though a camera angle that was inline with the play seems non-existant so it's hard to be certain.

1- Jenas clearly clipped RvP's ankle for mine, but as Halsey observed, strong suspicion of handball from Robin just before. First pen more dodgy; Chimbonda got the ball.

2- Probably more of a time-wasting exercise than anything else. Taking the sting out of things.

1st pen - Chimbomba got the ball but had he not taken him down the Arsenal player would still have got the ball despite his touch, so (it was) a penalty imo.

Definite penalty, if only for Chimbonda being a greedy ****.

Of course, Ronaldo must be innocent...
Had another look and decided it was just a bad decision. Going at that speed the faintest touch would send him to the ground.

Rubbish - he got the ball. End of.

See. Backed up by evidence.

He didn't 'get the ball' he touched the ball, imo they are separate things.

His touch did not move the ball significantly away from the Arsenal player, who would still have got the ball if he hadn't been brought down by the challenge.
