The commentators said he was onside when he was called offside on an earlier 1 on 1, I didn't see the replay properly to say for definite.
That one was definitely on, and unlike the later incident Saha thought he was onside too.

Anyway, Arsenal losing is always good news, the only good part about yesterday sporting wise really.

Disappointed by that result really. Should have tried to counteract Mounrinho's changes by bring on Fletcher earlier. Good result though.

I was cringing when he was brought on, even if it was enforced.

Dunno whether I'm pleased or not.

Well I'm not pleased. I'm thinking Fletcher should have been brought on earlier as he's better defensively than Ronaldo and Giggs and if needs be will put in some good crosses. Giggs wasn't really having an impact and the second half so he should have been taken off then.

I hope Ronaldo is out for a long time having injured himself diving.
That is such a biased and stupid statement. Did you see the incident? He did actually trip over Cole.

He launched himself headlong over Cole and landed on top of the defender, then rolled several times and writhed around in pain.

If anyone can find me a youtube of the incident (had a quick look with no success) then you can clearly see the part where he twists his ankle.

He definitely went over the top when going down, as he almost always does, and most of the Premiership do these days - but he didn't injure himself diving.

Contact was minimal. If that. You dont twist your ankle by brushing it against somones shorts, let me tell you. That cheating nacny gaff lad got what he deserved. Pain.

Where is Piscine gloating about Bolton beating Arsenal?
Scrabble tournament in Milton Keynes. I saw the latest scorelines as the Holiday Inn had a TV in the corner showing endless Sky Sports News.

Was very enjoyable really, Scrabble tournament was good too... (I won).

Why would you risk defeat by bringing him on earlier?!

Nothing like a bit of Arabic commentary, Allah!
Typical of the player in some respects, instead of just heading it into the corner (the best percentage play by far), he goes for a stupid low percentage overhead and gets lucky because the keeper is out of position (he moves all his weight onto the near post side and is too close to that post anyway, otherwise he saves it). So he gets a good looking goal because of bad goalkeeping at 3-0 in the 88th minute, an earth shattering contribution to the goal difference (presume it's in the league).

Brentford's horror season continues, no win in 14. The home game against Crewe in which they lost 4-0 was horrific and resulted in the sacking of the Rossenoir. They are going to have to find a manager from somewhare.

On a totaly different topic i was reminded of what a good player Kieron Dyer could be. Finally back from injury (probably not for long) he looked fantastic and makes such a huge difference to Newcastle.

Dyer is the sort of player that if Newcastle had any brain cells to rub together they'd have just sold him for whatever they could get, saved a fortune in his wages and medical bills and all it would have cost them is a contribution in what, 10 games a season?

Instead it's a name on the injury list to moan about, along with Owen, when they're unsurprisingly on it most of the season and say how unlucky they've been.

But ah well it's Newcastle so it's kind of funny really.

Was at OT on sunday, which is my last premiership/european game for the season with exams coming up next year. Probably the most hyped enviroment at the stadium since Real Madrid were in town a few years back, but one thing is for certain United are not going to win the premiership if we don't stronger bench players.

When Mourinho took of Geremi for Robben & brought on Cole latter on i was afraid Chelsea would sneak it, compared to that we brought on Fletcher and O'shea who are good players but no where near the same quality of the blues. Hopefully Ole & Park get fit quick & a few talented january signings like Torres, Nani come through or else Chelsea are going to win & worst yet if United get serious injury woes to key players next year the Gunners & Reds if they play well could catch up.

Usual utter joke in chief poseur getting 3rd spot in the European football of the year event. What did he do in the CL final? Missed one absolute sitter and missed another good chance, didn't score. What about the World Cup? Missed umpteen chances and so despite him playing for one of the best teams in the competition and getting to the final he only scores 3 goals, only one of which came in the knockout stage and my mum could have scored that one.
