Best named trophy around at the moment would have to be the Johnstone's Paint Trophy, a marvelous competiton.
And we're in the last 16. We won it in '87 when i believe it was called the Land Rover Freight Trophy. Since then it's been Auto Windscreens, LDV Vans. Hardly the most lucrative sponsors.

Do you know how much us lower league supporters get wound up by pat-on-the-head supporters? LOL

Yep (and a large amount of the gate at Roots Hall were pat-on-the-head supporters too).

Lol what a upset still this would probably g down as one of their greatest achievements, second string Man Utd or not it is still Man Uts so good on them. Speaking of the Carling Cup as it been the only games Geremi has got for Chelsea this season? Why do they still have him? TBH I wondering if he still existed or not.

In other news I read that Freddy Adu has gone to train at Man Utd to train for two weeks, but his club DC United have said it is not a trial. Even if they decide to buy him how will they get a Work Permit for him? A few back handers under the table (ie a bribe or two) perhaps?

Aye, Rooney and Ronaldo both played. The first team players missing were Scholes, Neville, Giggs, Saha, Van Der Sar - but I think most other first teamers were still in there, although the team did include Smith and Richardson. Still, even those two should be able to perform against a Championship side.

That'd be impressive, what with the transfer window shutting in August and all. :p

Will be very intersting to see what changes if any changes Mclers makes to the side 2moro. Barry, Reo-coker & Richards would be blokes that have impressed a lot & have a great chance of getting a call-up. But other than that don't think to many changes should be made, just hope one-day they do what they do at club level on the interntional stage..

Cole's suspended isn't he? Give Baines the gig, imo. Should play even if Cashley's available, on second thoughts.

Remind me of the grand total of first choice players who played.
Hmm, now let me see - Brown (supposedly the best natural defender in the country), at least one of Heinze/Silvestre, Ronaldo, Rooney, O'Shea, Fletcher.

Such a "second string" there...

Don't think Brown, Silvestre, O'Shea and Fletcher are first team any longer looking at the Fantasy Premier League stats (minutes played). I'm sure a manure fan will known better

Flecther played regularly and well at the start of the season but is second choice to Carrick and Scholes.
