The boy is impressive but not good enough to oust Ashley as first choice, but could get up to second choice if he keeps performing since Bridge being on the bench for so long could cost him.
I reckon he will be loaned out again. Somewhere like Newcastle or Tottenham perhaps.

It's about time Micah Richards left Man City, hopefully getting picked for England will encourage someone to put in a bid. Preferrably a grossly excessive one at that(i'm thinking SWP here)
All Man Citeh have to say to said interested club that Chelsea are closing in on him (even though they are not) and the deal could be done soon and are offering 'x' amount and if you want him you will have to pay big money for him.

All clubs do (not always insist Chelsea want a player but they over charge everybody, Ashton, Carrick etc.) it, especially the French clubs.

Too bad Barry got injured againts Chelsea would have surely been called up, and geez for the life of me Jenas & Phil again gets picked, where is Reo-coker..
The media were already speculating Barry wouldn't get picked regardless of injury.

How many starts so far this season for Fletcher, O'Shea, Heinze (and to a lesser extent Silvestre)?
Fletcher 5, O'Shea 6 - the other 2 have been injured, but are you now trying to tell us they wouldn't have been key players?

There is no fuss - it's the Mickeymouse cup. However, a lot of people who hate United have irrationally trying to make out as though it was our 1st team over here on SSN and whatnot (and clearly Marc believes them) when it isn't exactly true if you look at it.
Actually what I said was that it was far from a second string side - because it blatantly wasn't from just looking at the names, there was all of 1 random player in there.

Well considering it wasn't a first string side, and that after first comes second, I'd say it was...

Heinze is now behind Evra, Silvestre has always been ****, so yes.

5 and 6 starts apiece is hardly first choice (given that those starts have mainly been as the result of injuries themselves).

5 and 6 out of 11 games, and if the other weren't injured, they'd have been in - hence there was a considerable first team presence there.

No, a second string side is full of reserves (like the sides Wenger has tended to put out or the previous round selection from Taggart) - that side was not.

Err no, given the current situation that team had 2 first team players in it.

It wasn't first choice. So what was it, then? One-and-a-halfth string?

5 and 6 does not equal first choice in normal circumstances anyway, and it certainly doesn't when they're only playing because of injuries themselves. And as for the others - they're both not now first choice.

i really haven't been watching a lot of West Ham's games this season, but i really don't understand why Mascherano & Tevez aren't permanent starters..

I'd have thought it was fairly obvious myself... they're disrupting harmony.

serves me right, got 9/12, Mansfields win, exeters loss and Burton Albions last minute loss cost me :(

I'm happy with the result, hopefully we'll get someone easy in the 2nd and then lose to a Prem side this year again.

4-2 to the mighty whites today. We were 3 up, then Woking got 2 back, it was quite scary for a while
