Doubt it, they're still gonna get bullied by the physical teams.
Exactly. They've had nearly all soft games so far this season and they're still 5 points off the two leaders with a game in hand.

Like who? We've already played (& beaten) ManUre, Sheffield United & Reading. Only really Bolton & (maybe) yer Chavs to come.

Man Utd weren't really physical in that game and neither were Reading.

Both gave away penalties at home; in ManUre's case that's pretty impossible short of actual bodily harm.

As has already been stated, none of these teams are really physical, and giving away a penalty doesn't equal physical either.

I must say i feel sorry for the my boy Beckham, for a player that has given so much for his country for so long and been a top player for his two star clubs its rough to see the bloke going through this stress.

Don't know if he we ever see him in a England shirt again, and looking at the super classico on sunday and how brilliant Robinho played on the right it may be though for him to start unless maybe Capello switches Robinho to his natural left-wing role, but the big man shouldn't be treated like this, BECKHAM FOR ENGLAND......

Funny how you neglect to mention that the same could be said for all 3 of the sides above them...

You obviously haven't seen much of Sheffield United or Reading then; both very physical teams.

I'd say most teams are going to atempt to outmuscle Arsenal this year & I think that's fine. It's up to us to cope with it, which we've done thus far. No team is going to approach a match against us & seriously think they're going to out pass or out finesse us.

very true, Arsenal have a very skillful group of players this year.

a) Sheffield United I'll give you - Reading, while they've impressed me, don't strike me as physical though.

b) You didn't come close to coping with it at the start of the season.

I suspect I can think of at least two Chelsea keepers who would beg to demure; Hunt actually went thru Lehmann once on Sunday too. I don't think Reading are dirty, but they do present a physical challenge for teams.

& who has taken the game to us with a physical appraoch then? The only teams to get results against us so far (Boro, Villa & Citeh) have all bunged ten men behind the ball & defended well. We had more possession & chances in every game, but were unable to force the win (or the draw in Citeh's case).

Bolton have really outplayed us in the past by presenting a physical challenge, as did Man U the season before last when they beat us after 49 games. Chavski are more flexible, but any team with Essien & Makalele is going to be strong in the tackle too & they'd be capable of it too.

a) At least one of those, if not two, was a complete accident, and again, at least one was a challenge every player I can think of would go into.

b) I suppose you've got a point there... but the point is you still weren't picking up points at the start of the season and I see no reason why that won't happen again.

Another thing is that I think your performance v Reading was overrated - yes you played well but Reading had a fair few chances and IMO you weren't 4 goals better than them.

c) There are more teams than just that, such as Blackburn for instance. Plenty of teams managed it last year.

Obviously, it's not going to work every time but IMO it's going to work more than enough to ensure that you're not going to become champions.
