My aching sides....

We just took apart a Reading team who held Man U & lost by the old goal to Chelsea. Terrible result, clearly.

So when did the CDMs perform against a good team or a team with a bit about them?

They won against Manure by default and that's about it really.

What? Do you ever actually watch football? We knocked Real Madrid & Juventus out of the Champions League last year.

& explain "by default"? If you mean by dominating possession & territory and creating the better chances without our captain & best player, then yes we beat Man U by default.

The CDMs performed ok against Real and Juve (Juve were absolutely awful in the first game and Real are always hit and miss), CDMs just bored them to death and picked up the first goal which is crucial - otherwise they'd lose if they go behind with that defensive tactic, but those performances were nothing like the floggings of rubbish sides where you play the fancy football chief whingeur is after.

It's called "being flexible"; Wenger doesn't have the hubris to assume we could play like Real or Juve the way we play against Reading or Watford. It stands to reason.

That's not a major portion of the genre. In fact songs like those are not exactly prevalent. It borders more on the rap scene topics now. Violence and women. The occasional social commentary mixed in.

Some interesting results in Europe this weekend, i'll make a prediction of what i think will happen by the end of the various domestic seasons:

- Arsenal or United top tip out Chelsea really late & win the premiership

- Chelsea to win the Champions League

- Barcelona to barely hold off Real & Valencia and remain champs in La Liga

- Lyon will definately make it 6 in a row

- Inter Milan to utilise the superb talent in their ranks and win Serie A

- Bayern Munich to rebound and win the Bundesliga in the end

- Newcastle to win the uefa cup

One of the excuses was that the fans all rush over to hug them and people get injured.
And I could be walking down the street and a car being driven by a drunk driver or somebody who is speeding could somehow run me over.

Or I won't get out of bed because I might trip down the stairs and break my ankl.

got to say, another stupid performance by newcastle, roeder cant have much longer to turn things around.
True but it isn't as though they are last on the table.

I would say Dowie has a better chance of being sacked first. Watford probably won't sack their's as let;s face it they were battling to stay up anyway and The Blades are too in love with Warnock to do boo peep to him.

Dissapointed that Liverpool was comprehensively beaten, what made it even worse was that it was Man U they were playing. Agreed with pretty much everything JJumbo posted last page. Gerrard is wasted on the right, and we really need a gun striker! Crouch is only effective imo if he isn't the main target, he needs a smaller, more mobile compatriot to take the pressure off, so he can then use his height advantage more effectively.

Arsenal will win the league, you heard it here first folks.

Sorry Scaly, but it's true. Cesc Fabregas = ace

Doubt it, they're still gonna get bullied by the physical teams.

What were Barcelona thinking when they allowed Fabregas to leave for Arsenal? Surely they should have moved heaven and earth to keep a player of his class around?

I mean this is a team that snapped Leo Messi at 13 from Newell's Old Boys back in Argentina and look at what he has become, so they obviously have/had people in who can read talent on a football pitch. Madness.
