Good to see, Wankdorf will be the name of the national teams home! You would have thought they would have done a little bit of research!
Well, there's been plenty of time in the 30 months since the article was published.

Another team with a bit of fight and another flop from the chief poseur and his cronies. If only they could play Portsmouth, Sunderland and Middlesbrough every week eh.

So if he scores goals against Real Madrid in their Champions League tie next month so what will that make him or Real Madrid?

And he has scored goals against Chelsea when they became good (ie when Mr Abramovich brought them).

Since I wasn't on here at the time what do people think their signing of Theo Walcott? at 12m he better be good as they think he is.

I've seen practically nothing of the boy, but I know he's impressed a lot of folk. £12m is a big albatross to hang around a sixteen year old's neck tho, however gifted a sixteen year old he is.

It also has to be said that Arsene's record when it comes to signing young English talent is very iffy. One only has to think of Wright, Jeffers, Upson, Pennant....

What did catch my eye today is Fat Robbie's transfer back to the 'Pool! Could be very interesting to see. He's still only 30 & yer Scousers have really needed someone to put the ball in the net all year.

Good business from Liverpool too; flogged him for £11m, get him back for nowt! :D

IMO the strangest thing about the Fowler signing is that he's probably better than any of the current Liverpool strikers anyway. Certaininly better than Cisse (who's going to be spending a while in HM's pleasure) and Morientes, perhaps not Crouch.

No, Fowler isn't even as good as those. He's got no pace, he's unbelievably one footed, he's not much of an aerial threat, he needs numerous chances to score and he's a flat track bully - but he's cup tied so he can't even score a hat-trick against a mighty team like Scu.nthorpe.

So the best natural finisher of his generation "needs numerous chances to score" 8-)

One of the biggest myths floating around that one. Owen, horse, Lineker etc. are natural finishers, Fowler isn't - natural finishers don't bottle it frequently like Fowler does against decent opposition or when he played for England (because when you're a natural finisher you wouldn't feel the pressure anywhere near as much).

Edit: Actually never mind, he's not a natural finisher because he's fairly crap, much better argument...
