I didn't think sarcasm was supposed to sound realistic, or no one would realise you're using the lowest form of wit?
I'm sure everyone realises sledger is using the lowest form of wit anyway...

Joe Cole looks set to be dropped for Michael Owen and with Rooney to play on the left with Eriksson continuing with the 4-5-1 formation. I have a few questions about this and especially with Rooney playing on the left - it may not suit him.

Unless the plan is for it to be 4-5-1 when defending and turn into 4-2-3-1 when in attack (or if Beckham/Gerrard get forward it would be 4-1-4-1)?

be better off going back to the 4-4-2 imo, although could try any formation and win tonight so it doesnt really matter, joe cole hasnt done much to keep his place in the side imo, mind you if thats the case then owen has done even less, the fact that owen has proved himself to be consistant at this level that has warranted his return to the side. Although as i say all of the england bench could play tonight and should still win comfortably.

i think thats ridiculous imo, players arent forced to play for their countries, they havea choice, if they get injured whilst playing then its their own fault and they have left themselves opening to that sort of thing happening, clubs should take this issue up with the players rather than fifa if you ask me.

If a player gets injured because he didn't warm up properly then yes it is his own fault. If you are running alongside the touch line with the ball and the centre back (or left back) comes into make a sliding tackle, except of putting the ball into touch his studs connect with your fibula or tibia (they are the two bones under your knee cap) and breaks it then it is hardly your fault.

IMO he's been one of the better performers in recent internationals (since getting the job as first choice left winger)

Wow. Sweaties leading in Noway 2-0 with about 20 minutes left.

Sam must be ordering the hemlock as I type. :p
Ouch, that is bad. Still Norway would have horlicks another game to not make the play-offs.

1-2.

Actually, 0-0 would have been a fairer result - both teams were fairly dire, Scotland got gifted a couple of goals by really awful defending (I sound like tec, but it's true...), but still had five big chances to Norway's two and a bit.

So err... how would 0-0 have been fairer then?

hmmm yeah, i hate the bbc coverage unless its on the radio, at least that gives an accurate account and says if a match is poor, unlike motson who hypes up a dire match and claims its something like a "fascinating contest" etc...

Only Sven could come up with putting England's best player (not in this game obviously, but generally) on the left wing.
