No it's not - he's been on international duty this summer and was given a rest, he wasn't dropped.

It was more in reference to the strength of the defence more than anything else.

The ref reacted harshly initially to the "Jenas incident" but reviewed it later and apologised. Newcastle have had a few bad decisions from that ref last season.
