Yeah, I agree. I thought they were bloody lucky that Everton couldn't hit the net instead of the post or Van Der Sar.

I guess that was the difference though..the quality of the finishing.
And the fact they have signed a quality 'keeper.

As for Liverpool I'm a bit unsure about Jose Reina.

You know that was my 10,000th post.

Fitting milestone of the day.

Correct me if I'm wrong but didn't Man Utd have one of the better defences last season? It's noteworthy that Heinze didn't start.

Whenever I see Dickov playing live or highlights I always wonder what Sunday league he escaped from - absolutely useless player.
tbh i really dont think he is useless, what can you possibly base that claim on?

on a different note nice to see arsenal able to grind out a win against scrapping newcastle despite not being at their best by a long way.

If they play like they played yesterday when they play good attacks, they won't get away with it.

I think Dickov is a horrible little man him and bellamy make quite a pairing. I think it would be better for everyone if he was given an autmatic red card every time he came on or started.

Im not too upset with Newcastle today even if my patience with them has almost worn out completly. I havnt seen any of it but they must have shown a lot of spirit too keep arsenal out for 80 mins after being down too 10 men after just 30

Of course he is, I mean he couldn't even hold a regular spot for Scotland for a start. His whole career he's not even managed to score 1 in 4 games, all his 'atributes' you could find in virtually any Sunday league player - all he is is an enthusiastic nuisance with average strength, speed and height who manages to get sent off a few times as well. The guy has nothing going for him.

It's remarkable how he keeps getting Premiership contracts and starting games, isn't it...

I thought we played very well overall, I was pleasantly surprised infact.

beating everton shouldnt be a suprise for a team that supposedly has serious champions leage ambitions this season imo.

Rose made a good point - one of the best defences last season doesn't turn bad overnight.

Yes, but I thought we played pretty well in doing it.
