how many attacks in the premiership outside the top 3 would you define as good ?
You can say that for any leage - if I had a worry about a defence for the top 3 it would be Arsenal - attack was where I thought we were struggling, and Ruud appears to be hungry again.

Okay - the Jenas red card. Anyone at all think it was justified?
not justified, looked worse because of the angle that gilberto fell on his leg, was a pretty dangerous tackle though,

i also thought hleb looked good.

It's remarkable how he keeps getting Premiership contracts and starting games, isn't it...
Err yea, he was so good he spent his best years languishing in mostly Division 1 with Man City - where he still had an awful record. Oh and he was transferred for the huge sum of £150,000 in 2004...

£150k for a player of that age isnt exactly a small amount, and if he has such a terrible record, then please explain the reason why emile heskey continues to be picked for england, and why lehmann continues in goal for arsenal,

and out of intrest have you ever actually seen him play?

Well the ref in the CDMs' game was certainly useless, Senderos pulls Dyer down before he get onto a through ball which would probably result in a very good chance given his pace - referee does nothing other than giving the free kick. Jenas' tackle certainly wasn't a red card either. Still it's the CDMs, so it is only to be expected when they get a helping hand from the officials...

From what I've seen of the match, I tend to agree with SP... to be honest though, Arsenal can do what they want. The team I really want to lose is Chelsea.

i am reasonably happy with Newcastle today, atleast they showed some fight and the midfeald before the sending off looked pretty good from the highlights so i couldnt really tell. If they can get Owen which i am not optomistic about then i think they could return too the top 6 or 7. However i still cant stand souness or the way the conduct themselves with the awful shephard this has tempted me too switch too just supporting my other team brentford who i see play live a whole lot more but i think il stick with 2 clubs for now

I thought we played very well overall, I was pleasantly surprised infact.
The centre halves looked dodgy - gave them too much time, and when Bent came on, they were exposed IMO.

Rose made a good point - one of the best defences last season doesn't turn bad overnight.
There's a difference between being good against the minnows and being good in the big games.

No he said it was unfair on Wigan. He said it was a right wake up call that they needed.

Essien's moved to Chelsea finally.

What would be your first XI for Chelsea now.
No he hasn't yet.

And won't he need a WP case to go through unless he has lost his French passport they seem to give to all African players when they arrive in France to play football.

And for £28m? Once again Chelsea get ripped off in the transfer market. If they want to spend that amount of money - then surely there are better options in his role he will play in?
